babybarclay:
You know my current project is the typical superhero comic that I definitely enjoy. But with the next few projects I want to take a more historical, realistic direction and maybe chronicle the 1992 riots. I read a book detailing all of these vastly different accounts and perspectives of the riot that would translate well in the right comic style and spread knowledge.
If I had worked as hard as you for how long you did I’d be living it up in my down time. I’m glad dad is there to help you have more fun. How long are you going to New Zealand?
That’s good baby, that’s very good. I’m proud of you, if you need any help I think my grandmother has some journals you could read through.
I’ve never been too good with breaks, I’m an oddball. Lily got that from me. Just a couple of weeks, figured travelling could be fun. Go places I wouldn’t have thought to go to.

Hi! I’m amazing, a bit overwhelmed but it isn’t a bad thing. Trying to finish the next issue of my comic by the deadline while working on new ideas I want to pitch.
How are you mom? How’s dad? I hope your enjoying the downtime now that you are retired.
It’s hard to work towards deadlines but you’ll get it through, you always do. What are some ideas you had?
I’m good, you know I’ve never really enoyed having too much down time but your father has done a good job at keeping me busy. We’re going to New Zealand next month just cause. I think Clark and him are out right now.

“Not at all.” Tony felt incredibly blessed to have three children with the love of his life. Without Lacey he would have never hoped for a future better than where he came from. “Of course there were. He’s adorable and like all of kids incredible.” He was proud of everything about the kids. “Do you want 6 more years of this?” Tony always felt uncomfortable in a life of politics. He fit more into the entertainment world. Still Tony trusted Lacey with every decision and would never deny her a dream when she helped his come true
Lacey looked down at her little boy in her lap, did she want six more years of this? Of course she did, she still felt like there was so much more she could do. Plus there was no real guarantee she would win another term but she felt like she would deeply regret it if she just threw in the towel now. Her only concern is if that made her less of a mother to pick her career. “I think I can still do some good,” Lacey admitted. “But he’s getting so big already, I don’t wanna miss anything else.”
What Tony missed the most about the girls being babies was playing with them. Seeing the smile on their face when they were having fun. When Lacey came outside Tony immediately turned his head without missing a bounce and smiled. Brian was giggling which in turn made Tony chuckle. “Hi. How was the interview?”
Lacey gazed at the happy giggling boy, part of her still couldn’t believe she managed to get through a pregnancy and an election at the same time. Their little guy came out mostly unscathed, other than asthma he was a hundred percent healthy and Lacey was already in awe of him. Which made the decision to continue to miss out on the little moments of his life so hard. “Do you mind?” Lacey asked motioning to pick up their son. “It went okay I think, I thought I was past magazine articles but Abby said it was good for the image. There was a lot of questions about this little guy,” she said kissing Brian’s forehead. “And whether or not I want 6 more years of this.”
Lacey had just finished up with another phone interview before she went to find Tony on the balcony bouncing their 2 year old son his lap. She smiled, admiring the scene before she went and sat down next to them. “Hey,” she breathed.
Hey baby. How are you?
“I’m interested in living in a post-racist world, where being African American doesn’t dictate limitations on what I can do – but I don’t want to live post-race." - Kerry Washington
I do. We could fill two scrapbooks already.
Once you get into the groove of things you’ll be able to find more time. Are you sure? Nothing important going on currently?
And he's only 3 months, imagine all the books we'll fill up when hits his one year.
Hopefully, I don't want to miss the good parts of the little man growing up. Yeah I am, worst case I'll just wake you up if an emergency occurs. But it should be quiet for the night.
I sent her a picture already. He looked too cute to not capture on camera. No way babe. Go ahead and pick him up, with how busy you are you need to have as much contact as possible. Good, waiting for Brian to go to sleep so that I can do the same.
Okay, good thank you. This baby is always too cute, I would be taking endless photos of him.
I wish I could I had more time for him like I did the girls, but I expected this. You can go to bed, I got him for the night.
He loves that activity mat your mom bought him. He’s been smiling since I put him down.
I'll let her know next time she calls. Now I don't know if I should pick him up, he might not go down easy again. How are you?
How is he doing?
No. I haven’t done anything but check his temperature.
Let Yvonne look at him, reason we have a nurse. If she can't help, then yes we should definitely go to the ER.
