    Memory never quite lives up to the experience, and yet we eagerly latch onto them in these desperate attempts that make us feel like we have some sense of control over time itself. that even though the moment’s long gone, we can always still look to our memories and recollect.

Raleigh isn't sure how it all started-- not exactly, but somewhere along the way Chuck and him had resorted to overemphasizing their time spent apart. Two years became the favorite go to exaggeration. Followed up closely by five years, four months. Where as it may have annoyed a few others, Tendo grew to utterly despise it. Probably because as Chuck's sound technician, he was the unfortunate one who ended up spending the most time around the two idiots-- and it's not like Raleigh and Chuck didn't get immense enjoyment out of torturing a dear friend. 

   "Raaaaahleigh, feels like I haven't seen you in forever!!" 

   "No-- no don't even start.."

   "Start what? Chuck's got a point, it's been so long.."

   "You two shits literally just saw one another five seconds ago before Ray went to take a piss."

   "Oh, I dunno Elvis, feels more like, what.. two years?"

Raleigh found himself chuckling, aimless sights falling across the last text he'd sent Chuck before the two of them went their separate ways.

He never did receive a text back, instead Chuck called, and Raleigh can still remember exactly how it felt to hear those words on the other end-- "We should talk."
