Joseph Ducreux (1735–1802) was a French artist known for his expressive and unconventional self-portraits. Unlike many portraitists of his time, who adhered to strict formal conventions, Ducreux infused his works with humor, exaggerated expressions, and an almost modern sense of personality.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if I had gone through life with the name Hugh Jass, and this was how a ten-year-old reacted to meeting me, I would probably think he was a nice young man, too.
Hey. Your matter recalls cosmic explosions and you tasted oblivion before you learned your own name. Fear nothing.
The many Star Trek faces of Suzie Plakson.
Sure, she didn't have as many roles as Jeffrey Combs, but she was so obviously a favorite of the producers I wonder why they never made her a regular cast member.

So I think that Cold Harbor was supposed to end by proving that Lumon could create an innie that would follow any command without question. Gemma was going to end up dead because at the end of the test, they were going to instruct her to kill herself. And at first all seemed well, because Gemma had no reaction to the crib...but then comes a stranger covered in blood, and she instinctually trusts him vs the voice of Dr. Mauer. In fact, Gemma has shown signs that she can't be broken - all of her innies seen to dislike Mauer, while even Ms. Casey, the most stunted innie we see, seems to recognize a connection with Mark.
Meanwhile, Mark is the one whose chip seems to actually work. He has no connection with Ms. Casey, even in the finale when he knows that she's actually his outie's wife. The only sign that he has that he remembers anything subconsciously is when he sculpts the tree out of clay in season 1.
Anyway, the severed floor exists to support the testing floor - but if they didn't fully complete the test, I'm wondering if next season will start with the severed floor back in action ready to refine new innies for a new test subject. Mark is already showing signs that his severance barrier is stronger than their previous test subject. Do they start over with him?
Episode 9 and nary a mention of Petey. Severance is one of those almost-perfect shows and tbh Petey being dropped entirely in season 2 is one of those things that contributes to the “almost” for me. Innie Mark STILL DOESN’T KNOW HE’S DEAD!! Let me repeat that: INNIE MARK STILL DOESN’T KNOW THAT PETEY DIED!!!! I understand the focus on Innie Mark and Helly’s dynamic this season but it just makes it feel like another instance of strong platonic relationships getting pushed aside in favor of romantic subplots. Innie Mark’s grief at losing Petey and Outie Mark’s grief at losing Gemma is a great parallel and could be such a scrumptious way for them to relate to each other through reintegration but who knows… maybe season 3.
the finale has come and yet Petey is still ignored. maybe we’ll get more reintegration content next season but as it stands right now he’s all but been completely wiped from the narrative this season. there’s a lot going on and i understand that not everything can be given a spotlight but i still find it disappointing that he’s just not part of innie mark’s thought processes at any point while any of this is happening (as far as we are aware as an audience). there’s that brief flash of him in the painting and it was like oh! petey mention! and that was it. i’ll never be over how this man was central to innie mark’s life for his entire 2 year life (and was the first person he met) and now not only is he a distant, forgotten figure in the narrative but innie mark DOESNT EVEN KNOW HES DEAD YET
You will see the world again, and the world will see you. So, I'll see Mark?
