How do you feel about Mishka saying the detective in a’s route will break up with him (were they ever together?) and date someone else (new!) in the next book? I think this could be fun, but I get why some people are upset about the amount of books we will get with full fledged relationship content.

i personally, and perhaps unpopularity, love the idea. i came into adolescence in the 2010s having my wires crossed by shows like bones and new girl where the characters don’t kiss until the 100th episode, and as a result i ended up the kind of freak who is more interested in the romantic dynamics of characters who aren’t together. once they are, the excitement tends to fade for me as the romantic beats shift from development to maintenance. i find the former way more compelling, which is why i love adam’s route. it’s my niche. but niches aren’t for everyone, or else they’d be… well, the opposite of a niche. yeah.

what does ur user mean?

nobody’s ever asked me this before!

the “ladie” part comes from lady, cause i’m a huge historical fantasy nerd and fond of that honorific. but ladymars was taken, and i figured i’m a little too androgynous to be a proper lady anyway, so let’s just make it “lad” (as in slang for boy) with an "-ie" suffix (to make it diminutive and feminine).

the “mars” part is because my zodiac is ares, which is a homophone for the greek god of war aries, whose roman name is mars. the planet mars, named for the god, also happens to be my favorite planet. so as far as online aliases go, i thought “mars” was fitting!
