Does anyone know how to break into the canon harry potter community on tumblr? Is there a tag? Is there just not many of them? I have a Hermione muse just itching to be played and I know nothing about the fandom here on tumblr.

Tumblr has been good with Doctor Who, Doctor Who readily welcomes people and then once your in, you’re stuck and even if you get hate you can’t leave.

anything else and you get pure hell, pure hell. I don’t even talk about Sherlock because I DON’T SHIP JOHNLOCK I CAN’T. I MEAN THEY’RE JUST FRIENDS. That’s a story for another day, but I stay far from that fandom.

Supernatural I haven’t seen enough to talk about, but the Mishapocalypse turned me off that show. I don’t even watch it.

Everything else, I stay out of the fandoms because they’re pure hell. I avoid confrontation.

The RP community in Doctor Who is perhaps the chillest fandom I've ever been a part of. Yeah, there's still hate and sometimes it can be a little chilly but about 90% of the time everything is peachy which is way more than I can say about any other fandom. Though SuperWhoLock seems mostly okay. Who more than the other two but they don't seem too bad. Comparatively.

I suppose I'm technically in the Sherlock fandom but it scares me because I'm not a hard core fan or anything and I refuse to watch SPN. I don't need another fandom. I've got enough. Mishapocalypse was funny but went kind of overboard.

Other fandoms are a joke. I hate seeing hate which is making me a bit disappointed with this fandom lately. I've been seeing a lot of it. 50th is kicking up dust, I guess.

I know what you mean. I was obsessively into a few myself. Trigun, Full Metal (before everyone loved it) Lupin and some other more obscure ones that I won’t bother listing. I was into anime before it was popular too. It kind of sucked because there wasn’t many people to talk about it but now that there are a lot of the fun has been sucked out again in other ways. It kind of sucks. I refuse to even step foot into the fandoms these days no matter how much I love a certain show.

Not that I blame them. I don’t even admit to liking My Little Pony because there’s a certain stigma with that show. and yes I like Rainbow Dash

I never admit to these things on tumblr because there’s a certain weird negative stigma to them on tumblr and people make it so hard to enjoy them. Not everyone of course, but the majority yes. So I’ll just keep hugging my plushies, reading the manga and we, the silent fans shall enjoy it together in silence.

It's sad because I'm into the "true Japanese culture" too. My best friend was a first generation immigrant so I kind of grew up with it but even though I could probably hold my own with them, the second you mention anime you're done for. Instant otaku fan. And I get it to a certain extent but come on. Stop being so serious. It's supposed to be fun.

See, I've never seen My Little Pony but I keep hearing it and feel like I should. That fandom is scary too and tumblr does it no favors with the dislike of it out there. It's sad.

Tumblr is a weird place with a lot of hate. (Lots of love too but hate tends to have more of an impact). But you're right. All we can do is enjoy it even if fandoms can be a bit hellish.

I love how people are worrying that the Twelfth Doctor will hate bow ties.  Yes, of course he will.  It happened before.  Remember when Davison took apart Tom Baker’s scarf strand by strand?  Fuck Doomsday, that was the most traumatic moment in all of Doctor Who,

Yeah I expected as much. I regret my decision to get in to that fandom but Bleach was one of my favorites and when I mean favorites, I used to know almost everything. I knew those odd facts no one else knew, collected every book that came out, not the manga, but the side companion books. I had six anime’s I followed obsessively, Bleach, Inuyasha, Fruits Basket, Trinity blood, D Grey Man and Soul Eater.

I was in to Soul Eater before it become obsessively popular.

I was there from the beginning.

I was in to these animes before anime became as popular as it is and it wasn’t always this popular. It wasn’t until my high school year that anime picked up in popularity.

I am most comfortable here in the Doctor Who fandom, but Doctor Who isn’t the only fandom I am in.

Star trek, I am semi comfortable in there, but I don’t rp much

I rekindled my love for Bleach but if you know what that is and have ever looked in that side of the fandom, it’s DAMN UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE I HAVEN’T SEEN THAT SHOW IN THREE YEARS AND TRYING TO GET BACK IN IT, IT MAKES ME SO VASTLY UNCOMFORTABLE.

Doctor Who fandom is pretty easy for the most part. Everyone is pretty chill for the most part. Few people not but it's whatever. I just have a really hard time making friends, or finding people that I feel like I'm 'cool' with and I RP best with people like that.

Not in the star trek fandom so much but I can believe it.

As for Bleach.... ahahahaha anime fandoms. I... have tried. Many times. It's really hard there. Especially when you meet those hard asses that expect you to know everything. And Bleach is one of those shows that have a crazy number of episodes, isn't it? (Or am I thinking of a different one... I might be thinking of a different one).
