I don’t know why this creator used the Polin hashtag for their nonsense but this is ridiculous.

People spend way too much fucking time being complete assholes about storylines and characters when none of this is real. Bridgerton is fictional.

And I know we all have something we love about it, I do have a Polin-dedicated tumblr, but at the end of the day, it’s actors playing pretend and if you’re so goddamn attached to the original story, read the fucking book.

Believe it or not, the show is not about you.

Anyway, I blocked this creator and I will block any other creator that just uses all their time to hate on the characters.

What are your thoughts about Colin visiting Marina back in s2?

I thought Colin still has feelings for Marina and wanted a heat check on her opinions of him. She rejected him and told him to grow up, which messed him up.

Years later, I’m reflecting on this and despised this closure talk between them because Colin going back to Marina, really made it seem like she was the one that he lost. If Marina had even entertained his idea and not rejected him, Colin could have been her mistress. 🤢

I also think it’s one of the reasons why, some people don’t think that Colin truly loved Penelope because he forgave Marina and her lies so quickly and stated that he would still marry her when she was pregnant with another man’s child. Whereas, he’s been hurting and making Penelope cry numerous times and some claim that he only married her because they were intimate and it was his duty.

Ugh! Hate how the writers screwed up writing the romance of Polin’s season to this day.

I think Colin went to visit Marina because he felt guilty. Not because he loved her but because he wanted to make sure she was happy and settled.

I do not think that Colin was hoping to become her lover, at all.

As far as Colin loving Penelope, he told his brothers that there had always been some connection with her. And that he finally realized it and was in love with her.

I think he has shown he loves his wife over and over again.

If S3 didn’t show fans that, then S4 should have.

If people still don’t see it, then they are just willfully blind or hating on Polin for the sake of being a hater.

I think the sweetest moment between them in S4, although brief, says it best…

Regardless of how you feel about Polin’s season, or whether Pen forgave too easily, the idea that Colin was somehow pining for Marina is ridiculous and not based on anything other than what I can only assume is a hatred for the Penelope character.

There’s quite literally two seasons worth of looks and relationship building between Colin and Penelope leading up to their season, as well as their actual season and their scenes together in season 4.

Like I get that not everyone likes the characters or the ship, but it’s poor media literacy to think Colin wanted Marina over Penelope.

Polin were so cute in season 4.

The whole season was great. Season 4 is tied for my favourite with season 3, it’s nearly perfect.

Now the long wait for season 5 has started and I can’t wait to find out what Polin and all the other Bridgertons are up to.

After a second watch through, season 4 is tied for my favourite season. I loved everything about it.

Loved the Polin scenes, loved Benophie, loved Eloise, loved the Mondriches, loved Varley and even loved the few scenes with Cressida.

Even my partner said it’s his favourite season.

This might be a bit of a rant, and it’s not directed at OP specifically, this was just the final catalyst that spurns on my following rant.

I don’t want to start a tussle. But.

We don’t know this at all. You can literally see Colin and Pen in the trailer, are they not Polin?

I don’t need to see them pawing each other 24/7, in a season that is not theirs, to be content.

This is Benophie’s season and it’s my favourite, apart from last year. I’m actually really loving the show.

I’m a Polin fan, a Bridgerton fan, and it would be, I dare say, unreasonable of me to expect Polin in every scene or more than the couple whose actual season it is.

It’s an ensemble show and scenes get divided, it’s to be expected.

There’s been many posts across various social media with similar views as this post and it genuinely seems like some people don’t actually like the show.

And if that’s the case, just watch the clips after it’s released and stop acting like Netflix and Shondaland are trying to purposefully disrespect your favourite ship.

It’s immature, ignorant and exhausting to see constantly.

Okay, but consider this: Penelope finds out Francesca’s not orgasming, and her first question is ‘Have you spoken about this with John?’

Because that is Penelope’s first instinct — to go to Colin, her husband — with any problem. She’s like ‘not getting off? Obvs, your man will fix it, hon. Mine always does.’

It’s such a neat little summary of what their relationship is based on, and how different their marriage is from everyone else in the ton. They’re best friends, truly. The kind that turn to each other first for everything. And it’s so unheard of for a marriage to be like that that Benedict is genuinely puzzled as to how Colin knows about his search for The Lady in Silver and Colin’s like ‘duh, dude, you went to my wife for help. There’s no difference between that and telling me directly.’

But also, besides all that, isn’t it so fucking cute that Pen’s answer intimates that she and Colin openly talk about what they like/don’t like in bed? I think we all knew that, but like now we know, y’know? The sweet little freaks probably have feedback sessions, kink negotiations, nights to try out something new Penelope no doubt heard about through Whistledown but didn’t fully understand…

And it all ties into Colin’s disinterest in mistresses because, when the men started talking about that, apart from the fact that he’s clearly terminally obsessed with his wife, he was probably thinking about the openness and intimacy he shares with her, and how sex itself is hardly worth it without those things especially now that he has something to compare it to.

Anyway, I just love the thought of these two super cute kinky freak besties who spend their time yapping and kissing and giggling and fucking and that, because of that, Penelope will never ever know what bad sex feels like. It’s what my girl deserves.
