I forgot how abysmally stupid Quicksilver's death was in age of ultron, from him being such a nothing burger of a character and his death having the emotional impact of a fly smacking a windshield, granted I hated the movie as a whole, from the out of left field "romance" between Bruce and Natasha, Ultron's painfully cringey dialogue and Hawkeye's dumbass family that so obviously have death flags written all over them and just everything else in between it.
I was thinking about Wolverine and the X: Men and how that version of Scott in my own honesty was one hair breadth away from doing a whole entire murder-suicide given how much that dude was tweaking the fuck out over Jean, I'm mean Emma said it herself that Scott's pain and trauma no longer mattered because of Jean being his emotional crutch and without her the dude crashes the fuck, paints a very yikes picture of Scott's relationship with Jean , but you see that's why Logan had to dip, the man was looking for a little fun and turns out the cute red haired lady's boyfriend's mental health was hanging by a thread and he was one bad day away from killing everyone in that damn mansion, Logan decided it was better to cut his loses, but he didn't want to end up in another mariko/Harada situation.
Spike's parents were barely there characters and so their involvement mattered very little but I know Storm got her wig snatched and the shit slapped outta her the moment she went back home and told her sister that her son decided to live the hobo lifestyle with a bunch strangers in the new york sewers and just let it go.
I don't get "Logan fumbled Yoriko" Logan didn't fumble her, he went on a mission intending to come back to her, but she up and vanished, turned herself into cyborg and decided that being psycopathic killer was a viable job option. Its implied that Logan killed her father during his rampage at Weapon X, but that's what his ass gets for being part of a military program that kidnaps people for the sole person of doing fucked experiments on them and enslaving them. They weren't lovers in the comics, Yoriko was just fucking insane.
Reading God Loves; Man kills to wash the bad taste of 97' out my mouth.
Why does everyone act like Evolution was the only time Logan was ever written well? I know why, cough, cough, Jean, but outside of that does anyone read the actual comics or do they just assume Logan's main personality trait is hating Cyclops, which he doesn't, and being in love with Jean, which is about 00 .1 % of the things he does. Wolverine has years worth of comics, dozens of character arcs and most of it has nothing to do with Jean, usually he's being put through the fucking woodchiper or having his brain fucked, or going on adventures with Spider-man, or just solo adventures.
Evolution's a fine kid's show, but it had a lot of issues with its writing. And besides for all the talk about Logan being an uncle figure he barely has a relationship with Kitty or Jubilee, the comics are always going to blow the show out of the water in regards to Wolverine's relationship with both girls. Logan, Jean, Cyclops, Nightcrawler and Storm work better as peers in my opinion and I'm always going to find it more interesting.
Evolution! Storm on the hand? That is another can of worms given how badly she was shafted and sidelined in that show.
All I have to say about this episode is that M0rphine is lame ass ship, there's more yaoi potential in Magneto and Logan than b-budget character cameo generator. Sorry.
I don't get why they keep trying to force the "Morph is Wolverine's one and only buddy" I get the show's trying to do its own thing, but its one thing is basically throwing everything into a blender. Morph's not even a main line character and Wolverine has close friends, but seeing that Kurt, Peter and Kitty were pretty much not present at all, Gambit's dead, and Storm and Logan's relationship platonic or otherwise is none existent, Rogue's only character trait in the show is "Gambit's dead" and anyone else Logan's close with are not there. Morph's got nothing to do well because he's got nothing to work with honesty, so they need Logan to be an oblivious asshole to have something to do even if that means butchering better written character arcs just shoehorn a onesided romance that was never once a thing.
All I have to say about this episode is that M0rphine is lame ass ship, there's more yaoi potential in Magneto and Logan than b-budget character cameo generator. Sorry.
I never watched Stranger things, nor do I care about it, Or MCU as a whole, so can someone tell why some people seem obsessed with Sadie Sink playing Jean, is it because she's the only red haired acter they can think of or what?
Just finished reading X : Men ; what if Cyclops stayed with Madelyn Pryor and what in the actual hell did I read, its by far one of the worst comics I've read in a long time and its not just the writing blowing massive chunks, the artwork was incredibly lazy and lackluster like it was just slapped together at the very last mintue.
Because Cyclops decided to man up and be a good husband and father to his wife and son the world literally ends? Really? That's not just jumping the shark, that's just nose-diving off a cliff. What point were the writers and editors trying to make here? Cyclops left the X: men several times including him and Jean, the X: men continued on without them without the world imploding upon itself. I think the most egregious things in it was one Jean didn't kill Sinister, she just erased his memory of Nathan; second Maddie and Cyclops, both OMEGA LEVEL MUTANTS got fucking lowballed by a few of Sinster's grunts. Maddie got merced by a knife to the head, fucking really? Honestly, that is so much worse than her being blown to bits in 97'.
And worse yet, having Jean fuck off into space because Scott moved on, hurts sure, but Jean had other people who loved her dearly and she loved them but because she can't be with Scott her whole life on Earth is apparently over, she can't move on, but Scott can? The blantant misogyny just jumps up and slaps you right in the face. my god! what a trainwreck of a comic.
I do like the idea of Jean and Logan having all girls who all look like Jean, but they all have Logan's powers and some mutant bigots gonna have the most confusing ass beating of a life time.
And one would think that its Logan who's gonna be doing the shotgun talk to any potential boyfriend who comes walking through the door, but no, Logan trained his girls well, he breaks your heart, break his bones. Actually, Jean's the more protective one, no you're not good enough for my daughters, get out my house, in fact get out of my universe.
Cable on the other is less than thrilled about new siblings popping up in the distant future.
I'm sorry but judging by the spoilers, Its no wonder the Avatar movie was being dumped on streaming, its basically a b-rated shonen flick that Bleach/Naruto/DBZ and MHA get on occasion, and well can't say that any of those movies were good, most of them are just fanservice, very little in plot, filled with character cameos and original characters that are never gonna matter because they're not canon, with Broly as an exception, and some good fight animations and that's about it. The chainsaw man movie doesn't count as its an adaptation of the Reze Arc and to be fair the Reze arc was pretty short making it easy to adapt to a feature length flim and well, the last air bender doesn't have anything really to adapt, there's the comics, but I doubt there's anything substainal in them to make an interesting film, except maybe Ursa, but a lot people didn't like that plot, so - honestly, I think's just that the Avatar franchise overstayed its welcome a long time ago, it should've had more good things to show and do, but unfortunately they end up in the hands of weak writers that bottleneck the series.
The fandom insisting on calling Logan the X: men's smelly short pet dog is probably a very good reason why he shouldn't be half japanese or indigenous because y'all can't insist on making the X men more diverse and then well say that without looking like turbo racists. I don't even like when people call that as a white man, given that Logan's whole pathos as a character is him constantly being dehumanized and having his bodily automany and humanity violated and not wanting to be seen or treated like an animal.
One day fans will remember Rogue has a character outside of being in love with Gambit, but today will not be the day.
I do find it funny that people think Emma's too classy to hook up with Logan, because she thinks he stinks, but like Emma had an affair with a married man, knowingly and then arrogantly goaded the spited woman, that is the very opposite of classy if you ask me. Besides I can see her and Logan having a drunken one night stand born out of lonliness and immediately regretting it. But, I think they work better as good friends.
I think the fandom would rest easy if they simply accept that Jean and Scott are both pathological cheaters and that their relationship just kind jumps from one mess to another, which kind just happens when you get together with the first person you dated when you were sixteen years old and your frontal lobe hasn't finished cooking yet. You know kind of your typical mormon relationship [This a joke by the way]
Its kind of why I ended up liking Rogue and Scott better in X: men evolution, I mean trading wolverine so Jean could date a racist frat boy who behaved like a unrepent dickhead to her friends was a um certainly a choice, not sure why everyone things that was the better interpetation of their relationship, though granted it was the early 2000s, the whole highschool jock, nerd, popular girl was everywhere back then.
