Shoutout to my favorite genre of TOS episode:
humiliating to be attracted to a conventionally attractive person. I thought I was a more sensitive and refined pervert than this
My understanders will Understand me
and As Such . My misinterpreters will Misinterpret me . The price for speaking my truth .
I was making general TNG/DS9 memes but so many ended up being about Lwaxana that she just had to have her own post. Iconic. Love that for her.
no one can accuse me of AI because I’m hopelessly addicted to posting WIPs and then taking five weeks to actually share the finished product because I’m not only an attention seeker but also a procrastinator
Garashir is such a batshit couple for many reasons, but can we talk for a minute about how they went from weekly lunch dates and reading recs to nursing Garak through withdrawal and confronting the ex-head of the obsidian order over him. The intensity went from 0 to 100 and that is so incredibly gay of them
i hope i am not just an online presence to you all but also someone who has a really bad headache
One thing I wish had been explored more in Voyager was Vulcan ableism. I know that's probably asking too much of a 90s TV show, but there are so many little things that pop up:
Tuvok saying that Vulcans encourage their infirmed to commit suicide
How when Tuvok is brain damaged in 'Riddles' he says that he is no longer a Vulcan
Part of the finale is about preventing Tuvok from getting Vulcan dementia...
There is also 'Year of Hell' where Tuvok goes blind - though perhaps Vulcans don't view blindness as poorly as something affecting the mind?
There is the whole concept of IDIC (Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations) ascribed to Vulcan philosophy and yet Vulcans often act like they are superior to other species, and their striving to be this perfect strong, intellectual race often seems very ableist.
And with Voyager I could see this being paralleled with the Borg's own destructive desire for perfection.
me and my moots <3
(vagueposting) I saw a post I didn't like
Yuuji Itadori is the most relatable anime character of all time because I too want to climb on top of a building and shout Kento Nanami’s name until he shows up to help me whenever anything goes wrong in my life.
Something the AI text boom has made me realize is that "no information" is significantly better than "wrong information."
I just saw Doordash AI describe a gallon of blue cheese dressing as a "sweet and refreshing beverage concentrate."
