Find it so strange how in a show with so many great characters, somehow Silco is the one that I’m still thinking about (besides Jinx, of course).

Like, this guy had a full-blown arc that was completely overshadowed but literally everybody else's in the show, and is also the most important for the ending. 

He’s a manipulative, murdering, drug lord who doesn’t even seem to care if children are used in his experimentations with Shimmer. He willingly threatens people’s lives and even the lives of people’s child. 

He let a cat get eaten

He’s the direct cause for a widespread shimmer drug epidemic in his own city, an doesn’t show a single care about that. 

So clearly he doesn’t care about the chaos ensuing around him so long as he stays in power and successfully gets his way with the upper city. He does whatever he needs to to get what he needs. 

He also doesn’t care about the chaos Jinx brings to the table unless it directly affects something he’s working on. He knows she’s cracked and brittle, and that she’s incredibly traumatized.

I think he sees himself in her-- betrayed and abandoned and traumatized by it. They both fear betrayal again-- especially Jinx in her unstable emotional state.

He lets her do what she feels she needs to do. he doesn’t even grow angry when she stabs him repeatedly with his eye poke...thingy. 

He doesn’t even grow angry when she shoots him...kills him.

He assures her that he would never betray her-- something she doesn’t trust anyone about. And you can tell in the way he says it in this intimate moment that he means it. 

He has nothing to gain by saying this. He’s dead either way. 

And even more, knowing he's telling the truth, he was willing to lose EVERYTHING he ever hoped to achieve with independence and an end from the uppercity's tyranny for this one girl he cares for like a daughter.

EXACTLY the motivation Vander had for the same things.

He doesn'y gain anything by saying this, either.

He says these things because he knows because of his own and Jinx’s betrayals and abandonments that this is what she needs to hear in order to find herself. 

The last time, she killed her family and was abandoned by her sister (not entirely, but you get it). She was taunted for being imperfect while she was younger, and told that she could be fixed by Vi currently. 

He tells her that he wouldn’t betray and abandon her in his last breaths after she fatally shot him, and then tells her she’s exactly how she’s meant to be-- perfect. Something no one has ever told her. They’ve always wanted to change her in some way, and he accepts her wholeheartedly and loyally despite everything he had hoped to achieve with the uppercity and being shot by her. 

This is what gets Jinx to accept herself as Jinx.

And he’s the only voice she hears when she chooses her path. 

He wasn’t redeemed at all since him and Jinx aren’t some good vs. bad situation. Not even his character is redeemed. 

What he is is exactly who Jinx needed her whole life while being exactly what the undercity was practically destroyed by. And honestly, he’s pribably the only type of person who could wholeheartedly accept Jinx in the environment they’re in.

He’s the very epitome of a villain who has a big soft spot which just so happens to be more important than anything else to him. And he gets killed by her, and doesn’t blame her for it.

And I just find his arc so brilliantly done in the grand scheme of things.

Alright, I think I figured it out. (Like an entire month after everyone else did, but let me have this 😂)

This season will probably end right after Aizawa and Hizashi meet Kurogiri and all that stuff happens.

That would allow the movie to explore their internships and Dekus new powers, and the LOV should, if I remember correctly, be hiding out by that point-- waiting for the war arc.

That means NEXT season will probably include the war arc and this new arc, whatever happens with it.

So then my question is, Horikoshi said that we're entering the last ACT, not arc, so there's plenty more to write. But how much? Definately enough to do ANOTHER season, but how many after that?

Will be interesting to see 🤔🤔

What’s next with BNHA Manga

Obviously Spoilers

Okay, so based off of the preview for the next chapter, it’s looking like whatever happened between the time that Izuku woke up and wherever he is now facing Muscular (for a second time) it probably has to do with most, if not all of the rest of his quirks having woken up by now. 

“The quirk’s full power, hero’s new generation’s number 1!”

I honestly don’t know how to feel about this completely. 

What I don’t like about this is the current pacing. Keeping in mind, we don’t actually know everything that’s going on in the story at this time. This could be a flash forward, with future chapters meant to cover what happened in between through flashbacks. But with this little fact of next chapter, and that I believe it’s only been a month since he allegedly got the rest of the quirks, I don’t want him to suddenly be some OP Gonna-Come-Kick-Your-Ass all easy peasy and such. 

There should be struggle. This entire series is about struggle and overcoming. Moving forward. Working to be stronger. Acknowledging you need help. Without his close friends and teachers (Goddamnit Aizawa and All Might, go find your boy. UGH.)

What I do like is the potential that comes with this. Let’s just assume that he has some sort of moderate control over all the quirks now-- just for arguments sake. Then it opens up the door for more in-the-field training, should Izuku go back to being taught in any way. 

I want him back in UA, but at this point it just doesn’t quite make sense for him to have stayed. He has this super powerful quirk(s), is being targeted, has been found out by a few individuals-- and probably more individuals to come--to be an integral part of Shigaraki’s defeat. Him staying at UA just wouldn’t make sense to me, I guess. Though, I do see some people’s arguments. 

In the field, there’s also his chance to have his morality put into question. UA always painted heroics as a sort of grandeur profession, but we’ve seen time and time again that it’s not. So, especially with the country in shambles, Izuku’s going to get RAW on what it’s like to be a hero.

Now, what I’m hoping for:

His quirks might be underdeveloped even if they’re all appeared. He might not know how to control them at all. 

My whole thing is that it took our boy three whole seasons to figure out he could use his legs instead of punching. He’s developing his skills over time. All of them are, in 1A, so he needs to have the proper amount of time to bring his quirks together. 

In a perfect world, I would love for someone to come and get this boy and help him. I would love to see Aizawa come out of the woodwork and maybe hunt him down to go teach him, even if they don’t go back to UA. Aizawa’s an underground hero-- his whole thing is being sneaky and staying hidden. That’s exactly what Izuku’s trying to do. And Aizawa’s a teacher of multiple quirks already-- multiple in one person is a little different, but still. 

Plus, I’ve been waiting hella long for Aizawa to find out about OFA and I think he knows now, since all of 1A knows. And how the last arc ended with Aizawa and Izuku having that moment during the fight. 

It would just be an interesting development if it ends up happening.

Overall, I have mixed feelings about OP Izuku. I love him, I just don’t want it to ruin the building blocks of the story I mentioned before. Other than that, I have faith in Horikoshi that he’ll do by us right.

I'm telling y'all right now, if Horikoshi pulls a whole "class 1-A goes after Deku to help him even if Deku doesnt think he needs it/deserves it" I will 1,000% cry.

Little Izuku who didnt have a friend (y'know, minus the Bakugou situation) until UA getting an entire class to come after him when he leaves. That'll get me. I'll be shut down emotionally. Itll be a ride.

So. I want to know what is up with his arms. They were hinted at pretty heavily being permanently damaged if he went all out again, and he did.

There was even a flashback to the hospital room scene during his fight with Shigaraki.

But my question is, what's going on in this image?

He's got his unrepaired costume on revealing his arms which are covered in what looks like bandages, but they're dark. They look black or something similar.

What's with that?

And this has been a few months since the war arc, I believe.

And he can obviously use his arms and legs at least to some degree, so what are these bandage-like wrappings for?

I looooove how they're bringing quirklessness into a positive light. It's always bothered me how it was like, a dropped plot point. Like it didnt matter that Izuku was quirkless other than all the negative things and only him having a quirk now made him the hero he is becoming. Same with All Might. Drives me nuts.

But now they're making it the PRIMARY REASON he can handle OFA like he can and why he wont ultimately die from it extremely young.

Its wonderful. I'm thriving. Horikoshi had watered all my crops and they're thriving, too. Bless.

I saw something where they were theorizing that the figure that resembles Bakugou somewhat is like his great great grandfather or something.

And that would be so interesting narratively speaking for multiple reasons. Like how that could be used for bakugou's continued character development. Or how to connect him more to the primary conflict. Or maybe to connect him more to Shigaraki.

But one of them is, because since quirks are hereditary, the likelihood of this guy having a quirk similar to Bakugous isn't impossible. So can you imagine if Izuku got something like an explosion quirk?

Just, fucking Bakugou's face would be like:

"The kid I bullied in school for not having a quirk now has the same amazing quirk that I do and I...what?"

All Might’s heart is too kind to be the bad cop.

And Aizawa’s is too dark to be the good cop.

I saw this article online and just had a thought:

I don't think Izuku IS GOING to be Number 1.

The story has set up too much against heroes being a career-- and a career part way in the entertainment business, at that. Too much corruption. Too many things that influence people other than just wanting to save people.

But Stain and All Might and many others have already stated the fact that Izuku is a TRUE hero-- someone who is solely in it because he wants to help people. In a gist, the only reason he WANTS to be number one at this point is because it would completely fill All Might's shoes. He's expected to, in a sense, but he's already been shown to not care about fame and such all that much-- he was fine with the Stain story painting Endeavor as the hero instead of him. Plus he's super shy, he's not a fan of the spot light as a rule if thumb for his character.

In my mind, with hero society collapsing underneith everyone's feet and Izuku in such a prime spot for the conflict, he won't necessarily become number one at this point.

But the story says that this is the "story of how he became the GREATEST hero"-- not number one.

Was randomly playing The Last of Us 2 again, and just had some thoughts.

The whole theme is about the cycle of revenge and how it's bad and you lose everything in your revenge etc etc. But something I found interesting was how Joel had his own revenge cycle, as well-- and not just because he started the one centric to the second game

Abby accomplished her path of revenge against her father's killer, but it didnt bring her happiness.

Ellie chose to not seek revenge against Joel's killer, and while not happy, she felt at peace in a way.

Joel succeeded in getting revenge on humanity--since the soldier at the beginning of the first game killed his daughter because of society panicking and losing human decency, Joel stole Ellie from the world. To him, the world didnt deserve saving, especially after all he'd seen since--and by completing his cycle of revenge he found peace.

Strange how all three had different relationships with vengeance.

Anyways, my main point is Fuck the soldier who shot Sarah and Fuck the commander who gave the order. They're the ones who started the cycle and Ellie ended it.

That's some sexy parallelism mmm
