Brimstone and ball gowns ||• OPEN•||

Nimue had been working on her sword, her skin pale from putting as much of her magic as she could into the blade to dispell other magic. Mab had been thinking she was making a special weapon for her but this would be the key to all of their escape the moment it was done.

Nimue worked tirelessly on the blade ready to make their escape and finally stop mab once and for all.

The guards watched as she worked tirelessly, keeping an ever watching eyes on the black smith as she worked and nimue was fine with that as long as they didn't interfere with her enchantments before she finished them. As the blade was nearly finished she heard one of her guards approach her as she mixed the final potion

"wait a second," he started as the liquid in her glass turned purple "hey isn't that-"

Nimue didn't give him time to answer as she slammed her elbow back into his helmet knocking him back before she lifted the sword from it's place and thrust the holy harshly into his stomach. The second guard quickly got his wits about him and charged forward as nimue used the blade to slice her chains and parry the blow that came at her quickly enough. The commotion would no doubt bring more guards and here she had though the distraction of the ball would be perfect for her to hide, evidently not. The guard knocked her feet out from under her and knocked her flat on her back nimue was momentarily dazed before she caught up with what had happened as he grabbed her by the scruff if her shirt and threw her into her work table

"you wicked little-"

Nimue grabbed her final potion though it wasn't ready yet and cursed as she threw it in the guards face and ran as he screamed in pain and rage as she ran as fast as she could to only to have her misfortune to run straight into a small cluster of guards waiting.

Her luck was definitely not with her that night as the guards surrounded and captured her and one went to go get the queen from her ball as nimue was once more secured in her chains.

Mab was enjoying the ball, her citizens were surprisingly cheerful in the party and knowing that Harper was home to be their next queen should anything happen to mab, that was until w guard approached her and softly told her the news

"the sorceress lied my queen, she created a blade to dispell your enchantments" he informed her mab seethed before she sighed

"bring her to the throne room and I'll deal with her there don't let this ruin the ball"

Nimue nodded a bit as she tried to think as she looked over at the castle itself

"well if she's as dramatic as she leads us to believe the boy is likely up in the tower it's just a matter of finding the door"

“Hmm, maybe the door isn’t a door? What if it is a painting?” Casper suggested as he leaned back to think.

Nimue thought for a bit before she shrugged

"always possible, though with your teleporting little friends you may not need a door just to find where he is and try to send them in after him. Their power doesn't seem to be effected here at least not as much"

“Ah but they can’t teleport with him.” Casper reminded her, “they are limited they are only half vampire not full and even if they were they would still find a limit. Though they could find the door from within.”

Nimue seemed to think

"flight perhaps? Maybe we could try enchanting some brooms or something in case there is a window somewhere I can't imagine she has him in that kind of darkness she does seem to have some semblance of caring for him" nimue said rolling her eyes a bit

“Possibly,” Casper nodded. “Oh and I believe you lost this.” He pulled out the sword and handed it to her.

Nimue smiled and shook her head

"you'll need to to counter some if her spells, and if it's missing she'll question your loyalty" nimue told him putting her hands in her pockets

"if you can find out where the door is and what spells you need it will counter and disregard the magic so you can use it normal"

Casper nodded, “but I wouldn’t mind if you finished it.”

Will poked his head in and upon seeing them winked then walked back away.

Casper frowned at the interruption. “I swear he isn’t going to let me live this down.”

Nimue frowned before she could ask him if there was anything wrong with her blade will came in and winked at them before disappearing

"I wouldn't either" she said to him before she handed him the blade back

Casper kissed her cheek as he took the blade swinging it and watching it disappear in a magical whirl. “Now then where shall you go? You can’t stay here.”

Nimue thought for a bit

"probably go back to avalon, prepare for what may come and wait for you same as always" nimue said shrugging as she smiled and folded her arms

"just don't keep me waiting to long this time alright?"

"it's not for mab sir merlin, it's for uh another reason another lovelier possibly more dangerous reason that wants to punch your lights out" Alec said hinting to the best he could without out right saying it not wanting anyone to over hear and find her

Casper stood a bit shakily then went to the forge and upon seeing her he dropped the staff and hurried to her scooping her into his arms and let out a heartbreaking sob of relief. “You’re alive! I-I had thought you... I’m just.” He took a step back then braced himself for the blow that he knew was coming.

Nimue had already heard quite the earful from robin, surprisingly a bigger one from Alec and then seeing him the way he looked so miserable and sad....nimue sighed when he flinched away and she hit him surprisingly lightly on he shoulder

"I'd you ever throw me through a portal without my direct say so ever again I'm going to smash your face in got it?" Nimue asked him frowning

"either we live together or die together next time and there is no third option"

Casper looked up at her and nodded. “I’m just so glad you are back. You were missed more than you know.” He sniffed softly before smiled. “I um I-“ he could barely speak as he looked up with a few tears going down his cheek.

Nimue smiled

"I meant to she you worry not go into a full in episode, Olga said time changed I didn't realize how bad it was, rowan says hi by the way I patched things up with her for you now she hates me but Alec got a supply of his mom's cookies and seems to be happy as anything" nimue said chuckling a bit

“It is fine I suppose that was a punishment I get for just throwing you through a portal. But I, I can’t lose you Nimue.” He whispered as he neared her. “I can’t, if that is something this experience has taught me. I have come to care for you. And to lose you would be.” He closed his eyes. “I don’t think one could say I lived during those weeks.” He reached up and ran a hand over the scruff he hadn’t shaved so his face had become hairy. It actually looked nice bit unkempt but nice.

Nimue smiled at him a bit and shook her head

"well I lost you once, don't act like I could handle losing you again" nimue said to him she brushed a bit of her hair back, lottie had done it up all nice and pretty for her return maybe having to much fun with the fairy aesthetic as she'd woven some flowers in it

“So where do we go from here?” Casper asked nearing her but not overtaking her personal space.

Nimue smiled and brushed her hair back from her face a bit

"survive mab, discuss future" nimue told him her face feeling a bit redder as he stepped closer she was never good at this thing

“Well if I have you then the first part is easier.” Casper said his face also red and the tips of his ears burned. “Ninue, may I? May I kiss you?” He asked. “I want your permission this time.”

Nimue’s cheek burned a little brighter and she cleared her throat trying to remember what speech was

“Depends you gonna kiss me on the forehead again?” Nimue asked him she had to have a little bit of sass after all it had to be what he liked about her right? None the less she stepped forward and kissed him gently on the lips. She had to keep him on his toes after all.

Casper wrapped his arms around her and kissed her back, “Nimue,” he rested his head against hers. “How are we going to do this we have to get them all out of there, there is this darkness Alec found and I fear it may be something beyond what I can defeat or help with. I don’t know if Mab knows it is there.” He kissed her again.

Nimue smiled pulling him close by his shirt to kiss him again

“So where do we go from here?” Casper asked nearing her but not overtaking her personal space.

The guards watched as she worked tirelessly, keeping an ever watching eyes on the black smith as she worked and nimue was fine with that as long as they didn't interfere with her enchantments before she finished them. As the blade was nearly finished she heard one of her guards approach her as she mixed the final potion

"wait a second," he started as the liquid in her glass turned purple "hey isn't that-"

Nimue didn't give him time to answer as she slammed her elbow back into his helmet knocking him back before she lifted the sword from it's place and thrust the holy harshly into his stomach. The second guard quickly got his wits about him and charged forward as nimue used the blade to slice her chains and parry the blow that came at her quickly enough. The commotion would no doubt bring more guards and here she had though the distraction of the ball would be perfect for her to hide, evidently not. The guard knocked her feet out from under her and knocked her flat on her back nimue was momentarily dazed before she caught up with what had happened as he grabbed her by the scruff if her shirt and threw her into her work table

"you wicked little-"

Nimue grabbed her final potion though it wasn't ready yet and cursed as she threw it in the guards face and ran as he screamed in pain and rage as she ran as fast as she could to only to have her misfortune to run straight into a small cluster of guards waiting.

Her luck was definitely not with her that night as the guards surrounded and captured her and one went to go get the queen from her ball as nimue was once more secured in her chains.

Mab was enjoying the ball, her citizens were surprisingly cheerful in the party and knowing that Harper was home to be their next queen should anything happen to mab, that was until w guard approached her and softly told her the news

It had been a week and Casper was beginning to fear he had created a prophesy, a week blended into two and he was all but solidified that he had killed Nimue by sending her to the human world. The worry ate at him. He only slept when his body could go no further and he hadn’t eaten more than what Jane could get in him. He spoke rarely and took to staring at the forge that no longer glowed. Where was she??? He had to have faith but she should have been back? Right? She would have by now.... he sent owls to scour the areas for her and found no trace. He had already wept himself dry now he was forlorn.

Nimue only spent a few days, she helped Lottie with some creatures taht she was caring for and might have helped to resharpen some of the kitchen knives even promising that hse would make them better ones once she was able in exchange for their help before she finally decided that it was time for her to return.
