if chivalry wasn’t killed by regal, who conspired with the pirates, i’ll be surprised. that’s basically the most obvious thought that comes to mind immediately after chivalry’s death is announced.

it’s interesting that we’re reading the story from fitz’s pov and he has absolutely no suspicions, even after the fool hinted to him that “they” killed the prince. but fitz is still a boy with a very eventful life, and it’s not like he’s supposed to be worrying about a father he never knew. anyway, it’s really interesting to see what kind of situation will arise when his father’s death finally comes into fitz’s focus.

i can’t stop myself from reading spoilers, so i already know why she chose the name tom for him... how quickly she gave him that name... the fool later said that after just two months she already wanted to take him in and raise him as her own, but chivalry was against it. all of this is so important to me, and i’m in tears soaking up every second of her life. oh patience my patience

hi everyone, so i randomly started reading (listening to the audiobook of) assassin’s apprentice yesterday, and i was like, yeah yeah, this is interesting, cool, fitz is pretty fun, but i need a WOMAN i would move mountains for. and i was like, ugh too bad the author sent fitz’s father somewhere far away and we’re not going to see him with his wife, and then robin killed him off entirely, and i was like oh sad but i wonder what lady patience’s life is like now

and then in ch11 fitz meets an INTERESTING WOMAN, and i was like OH YES MY DREAM COMES TRUE and then in ch12 she goes to the king and demands that fitz be taught everything his father was taught, and that she’ll be training him herself too, and I AM SO DELIGHTED. GOD, you have no idea how much i love characters like this and these interesting dynamics

i hope the fandom doesn’t hate herrrr i’m writing all this having absolutely no idea what the fandom thinks of her, but anyway, i’m already completely obsessed with her <3333
