red hair , sharp eyes , dressed well — vida’ eyes skimmed over the woman as the healer finished brushing out brego’s mane ; the horse tied off by the wagon under the dappled shade of a tree.    “aye , that would be me ,” she washed her hands of the scent of horse as she responded to the flame-haired woman , “though , you are dressed a little finer than my usual clientele…” for those women , they often came for her discrete help in unwanted pregnancy ; unable to seek out a maester or septa due to the social implications.

“well — if you are here for my services , then let us have a chat about what it is you need amd how i can help you ,” she replied easily , “and my name is vida waters … don’t feel obliged to tell me your name , my lady,” vida continued as she moved towards the opened doors of her wagon  ( both an office & a mobile living space )   —  “an alias would do just fine , depending on your needs.”   of course , vida would know who her clients were … but that didn’t mean she had to have her written records reflect that in the case of nosy guards or lordlings looking to punish their foes with information.   her wagon had been tossed before , and there was never a scrap of evidence to be taken or found.    “join me inside?  you can peruse my available stocks.  readied i have healing salves , myrish fire , willow bark tonics , milk of the poppy , moon tea ,  and other similar useful medicines.”

“No need to call me lady, I’m far from one, though you’re kind to say it. I’m Riona Stone,” No need for aliases, this was exactly what she wanted. If questions arose she had nothing to hide, every move made in earnest. People expected deception from a bastard, any suspicion would be only worsened with a lie. A false name only betrays false intentions. She followed the other woman to the wagon and was surprised by how comfortable the small space seemed. The air inside was perfumed by the smell of dried herbs and something distinctly botanical that prickled at her nose. Riona imagined it put people at ease, such an inviting space, before putting their trust in a healer.   

“To tell you the truth, I’m not here for myself, but for my lord. He suffered an accident that left him in pain. The maesters did what they could for him, but in weaning himself off milk of the poppy his moods have been… unpredictable. He’s often agitated, something to ease his nerves would be helpful.
