She is flying high over the sea when she catches sight of him. The young officer catches sight of her too, and she thinks his awestruck look when he realizes that she’s a fairy is absolutely adorable. She can’t help but introduce herself.
“My name’s Tinkerbell,” she says with a smile.
“Killian Jones,” he stumbles a little over his name but bravely carries on: “You’re a fairy!”
“Yes. Yes, I am,” she replies, preening ever so slightly. His eyes are so wide and his voice is so breathy, and it has been a long time since anyone has been this amazed by her.
“You have wings! You can fly!”
She flutters her wings just a little before leaning in, her eyes darting from side to side. “Do you want to know a secret, Killian Jones?”
He nods rapidly, his hair falling into his face.
She grins and grabs his arm. “You can too.”
And with a little pinch of pixie dust, she lifts him off the ground, into the air, and his laughter as she spins them upward is one of the best sounds she’s ever heard.
It’s a flight that ends too soon, and when their feet touch the ground again, she is loath to let him go.
But she does, however reluctantly.
“Will you stay with me a little longer, Lady Bell?” He asks so sweetly that she’s tempted to say yes, but she’s going to be in enough trouble for wasting pixie dust on such a pretty face as it is.
"I have to go, Killian. I’m sorry," she says, her wings drooping ever so slightly.
"You could come back," he suggests, giving her a shy smile.
“Yes, perhaps I will. See you soon, Killian,” she gives him one last smile before spinning away on the next breeze.
