Pet Preservations (GRAPHIC)
Today I processed Louis, a Boston Terrier that was put down due to old age, crippling arthritis that expanded his rib cage and progressing tumors. He lived a beloved life with his mother Kristen and I will be articulating his skeleton for her, and making his microchip a necklace.
In this first video I am skinnking and separating the bones from the torso to fit in my Dermestid beetle containment better. I am also taking notes of my findings, and cutting out his tumors.
In this second video I am removing the organs to compost, and the removing the heart to wet preserve.
Pet Preservation mean a lot to me. The owners put so much faith in me and my work, I honestly could not be more honored to work on this beauty. I'll be posting his skeleton once the beetles are done with their part of the job! With his unusual artritis it will be quite a skeletal specimen!
