last game?
"Yeah," Santa began, quickly responding to the cowboy for himself before Clover piped up. However, when she did start, he shut his mouth in order to give her own explanation. He had already had a go, and hopefully, she would give enough vague information to satisfy their curious minds.
As if to back her up, he nodded in agreement as she gave her brief explanation, in case anyone had been looking to him rather than her at any point.
He was anxious the entire time she spoke, wondering if she would out him; the last thing they needed at the moment was more suspicion cast onto them, especially considering that a very large man who looked prepared to use violence to get what he wanted was practically looming over them. However, he didnât let his uneasiness show aside from the defensive stance he was still in, and anyone would be defensive in a situation like this.
"We were forced to solve puzzles to save our own lives," he decided to add, as it was something the both of them had skipped over. He hoped that it would be enough information to satisfy the two larger men.
After glancing to the monitor again, he looked to Sundown and then to Hilarius with an expectant look, awaiting their responses.
The severe stranger listened to them intently, his palms crossed and his chin raised. The lenses turned between the two fresh faces when one or the other spoke, settling finally in some vague location between their heads. Sundown was old hat, and went unacknowledged, save for a brief, cursory glance.
When they were done, the man slid his arms behind his back and tightened his hands together there. âYá´á´ á´Ęá´ ÉŞÉ´ á´Ęá´ á´á´á´á´á´É´Ę á´Ň á´ĘĘÉŞá´s,â he monotoned smoothly to them, perhaps having detected an inkling of discomfort, though that did nothing to deter him from picking up a long, terse stride, which he executed in slow and sinister circles around all three of them. In his wake, he drew the burn of strange chemicals, and a grim but nearly pleasant mixture of musk and myrrh.
"Eá´ ÉŞá´ á´É´á´ĘĘ, Ęá´á´ Ęá´á´ á´ sá´Ęá´ ÉŞá´ á´á´ Ęá´á´Ę á´á´sá´ á´É´á´á´á´É´á´á´Ęs á´ĄÉŞá´Ę á´ÉŞĘá´á´á´sá´á´É´á´á´s sá´á´Ę á´s á´Ęá´sá´." He tapped Santaâs bracelet, hard, as he passed, and turned his head to frown inscrutably at Clover while he continued: "WĘá´ á´ĘĘá´É´É˘á´s á´Ęá´sá´âŚ âNá´É´á´ĘĘ Gá´á´á´sâ? WĘá´á´ á´á´Ęá´á´sá´ á´ á´ á´Ęá´Ę sá´Ęá´ á´?"
"OOH! Ooh! Ooh! Me! Pick me!"
A high-pitched voice came from the speaker system in the living room and the screen inside flickered on. When the picture became clear, the rabbit, Zero III, peered out through the screen at the players in the room.Â
"I got the answer for you! Listen up, Hillary!"
Hillary seemed to be the nickname that the rabbit had chosen for the largest guest.
"This hoppens to have many purposes! Only some of which I'm gonna reveal to you! The first... is to see who's worthy of escaping this place! Only those that have gotten 9 points and opened the number 9 door will be allowed out! Second! Zero's really curious to see how all these different people will interact in the scenarios he's set up for you... Not even I know what'll lapin!
Oh! And on that, let me hop on over to your other question! The Nonary Games are arranged by Zero! But I can't say who that is! Now I know what you're thinking, you're thinking: 'Aw! Zero III! Why won't you slip me a little information?!' Well, guess what, bunnies! I don't even know who Zero is! I hop to one day find out too... But for now, I don't have access to that information!
Now, Hillary! Yaoi! Cleaver! Sunny D! Haven't you been standing around here long enough? You should start looking around the facility! Don't wanna run out of time... Oops! Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, but the words just hopped out of my mouth! Well, bye for now! Have a nice trap!"
As quickly as it had turned on, Zero III's monitor shut off, leaving a blank display once again.
