Whenever I see this reblogged I get a little annoyed. Not because I hate the message it sends. It’s a good message and body image shouldn’t be determined by silly numbers to describe size.

But what I really get annoyed with is this: None of these women are average at all. None of them is the average height for females, which in the US is 5’4” (1.622m)… these sizes are distorted. A size 4 or 8 looks perfectly healthy and beautiful on someone who is 5’1” but this picture almost seeks to make it look unhealthy.

The truth: The ideal size that men desire varies. And the ideal size that women desire varies. And the average size of women is not truly represented by this image at all.
