Writer Participation Guidelines 1. Stories must be between 10,000 – 20,000 words. 2. Stories may be any pairing (M/F, M/M, F/F or poly) or gen (defined as a fanwork that contains no romantic or sexual content). We accept all ships and content but works must be properly tagged. 3. The central story element must focus on characters from Jujutsu Kaisen. 4. At least one character must be a canon character. 5. In keeping with the theme of Dark Edition all stories must contain mature and/or dark themes. This could manifest as sexually explicit content or as any number of the dark themes in keeping with the manga (eg. death, body horror, monsters/curses, grief, psychological horror etc.). By creating and posting mature/explicit content, you agree that you are of legal age to do so. Note: Works can absolutely have happy endings and do not have to be extreme! 6. You will be able to post your story to AO3. Stories must be posted unlocked. 7. Stories can NOT be posted anywhere prior to your assigned posting date. 8. AU's are allowed. Crossovers are not. 9. You have to choose to either write a story OR create art, not both. 10. Stories must be betaed. 11. Writers must agree to stay in communication with mods and with their assigned artist. Disappearing with no explanation will result in being dropped from the challenge.

This fic took forever. I was worried about not much happening in it but really wanted to create some beautiful moments and both @mashimero and @with-your-poncho-on just brought out the feel of the fic so well with their pieces.

Hope you like it~ It might have a second part (you deserve it for the LONG LONG wait).
Hajime has trouble figuring out how they’ve ended in the pool.
He gets why he is in it. Really, he sort of deserves it, albeit it’s still annoying as hell. With a shake of his head, the clears the wet locks of hair away from his eyes. The shirt and pants are glued to his skin, the dressing shoes stones on his feet. Hajime kicks with arms and legs, trying to keep his head out of the water.
Where Tooru stands. Staring at him. First in silent shock, hands in the air as if he can’t quite believe what he has just done. And then…
It stings, a little knife going through Hajime’s ribs. The sound of his laugh echoes on the water, fall in, dip into Hajime’s cells and shake them. Tooru bends over, so hard is he laughing, and Hajime scowls, and his heart beats a happy song.
“Iwa–chan… Iwa–chan, I’m so sorry– I honestly wasn’t planning on doing that.”
“Fuck you very much.”
“You deserved it, though.”
Hajime wants to show him his middle finger, but he’s too occupied swimming to the border to do it. Also, he did deserve it, and deep down he’s thankful Tooru has cut his bullshit before it got out of hand.
