I finished listening to the entire Rebirth OST album this week and shed a few tears and finally found the motivation to finish this lighting study, it’s kinda scuffed and you can tell where I got lazy but I haven’t done studies in a long time so this was kinda fun ngl

I'm replaying FF7 and it's always crazy to me when right-wingers like the game where its first thirty minutes is "Let us, Resident Ecoterrorists, go do a (successful and shown ingame to be morally grey at worst) ecoterrorism, get hunted by the literal Resident Fascists, and then go on a monologue about anti-capitalism!"

It really fucks me up that Sephiroth's only real interest, astrology, might just be an interest for him because he's full of crazy alien DNA

The only thing that brings him joy is also the thing that brought about his downfall

Sephiroth canonically isn't even interested in astronomy. Imagine being Canon!Seph who has no actual interest in anything and is essentially miserable his entire life because Shinra never encouraged his individuality 🥲

TBH, for me it actually did start out as "what if Sephiroth had dreams about space as long as he could remember because of Jenova's cells?"

And then at some point I just felt he was the kind of person who'd be into mathematics, and would've studied it if he'd been allowed to pursue his own interests.

And naturally I put the two together and came up with "If Sephiroth had his own way, he'd be an astrophysicist" lol

Dreams about space, eyes idly drifting towards the sky whenever he doesn't have something better to look at, being very interested being taught the solar system and math as a child...

He'd make the best goddamn astrophysicist on Gaia, and beyond!
