So an inspector was able to visit today on short notice and do a full inspection of the house. It’s a lot worse than everyone expected and the termites have spread through the entire house. Initially, they said maybe $900 to fix the problem. After evaluating how bad it is, to fix it is going to cost $2000. Even when my contract work starts, the paycheck that I’ll receive by my first pay day will only cover $300 of that. I won’t receive that money for a month. I’ve started a fundraiser to help because we have no way of paying this on our own.

For a recap from my last post, the floor in a room of our house has collapsed. This is the second time. It was last repaired a few months ago and termites have destroyed the floor within that short span of time. They also ate through the tile backings and support system (being why the floor collapsed.) We we’re able to pay for a temporary fix to the floor but it won’t last long at this rate and we’re terrified other sections of the house may also collapse if this isn’t treated soon.

I hate to make two posts about this but it’s much worse than anticipated. Any and all help is appreciated I know this is a lot to ask but even the smallest amount will help 🙇 I’m also willing to draw a free sketch for anyone who donates and would like one, work examples are included on the fundraiser page.
