Version 2 extō inspired extension cord.
Inspired by the extō smart extension cord by Conway Electric (conwaygoods.com), I made this with a regular outlet box from my local hardware store, leftover spray paint, some vintage cloth electric cord and a smart outlet ordered online. Altogether cost was under $50.
Pro tip: remove all toys from an unsupervised dog, else they will get eaten.
Some dogs like to play "fetch", some like to wrestle... Ours likes to play "tug", so using rag scraps from old clothes and bedding, I made a pair of braided rope tug toys. As you can see, our dog approved!
Chicago ash wood blocks, cedar tray
Bunnies got new digs! Bunny furniture upgrade made of fallen red oak sourced from our property in Michigan. Held together by dowels and glue, this should provide many years of bunny enjoyment, and is certainly more durable than the cardboard box that it replaced!
Cardholders from Bicycle Tubes I made these to accompany my new Alchemy Goods recycled tire tube wallet, which has significantly less card storage space than my old MightyWallet. Supplies: punctured/worn inner tube scissors needle thread credit/gift/membership card to use as template Total time: 30-40 min to hand stitch, much less of you have a sewing machine
Scrap Wood Holiday Tree
This year for my work holiday gift, I made cheeseboards out of Ash, Walnut, and some Oak sourced from Horigan Urban Forest Products in Skokie, IL. All of their wood is sustainable and comes from the Chicago area.
