#arting #I was kinda hoping there was a solution to this in the end #because I'm facing the same issue #the whole 'some things you can't draw in art class' deal? I feel like everything I make for art class #doesn't get as much attention and enjoyment as I do with my other art #my art worlds are different and inconsistent with each other #and I feel what I make for classes don't truly come from myself #which is really odd to think about

Like, don’t get me wrong, the Moomin/Snufkin ship is totally valid and considering their relationship is based off of the author’s relationship with her ex-husband (plus plenty other examples you could use) I’d say that’s pretty canon to me. But like, idk man, I just like seeing a character who’s so comfortable at being alone that it’s something they prefer over marriage or eternal companionship, especially one as popular as Snufkin.

He does his own thing, no one has to question if he loves and cares about his friends because he has his own way of showing it. He’s an independent who loves his freedom and no one should make him feel guilty for wanting it. He leaves Moominvalley when everyone’s hibernating so he can collect his own time alone, something he loves, and I love that he balances the things he loves that’s difficult to have at the same time without anyone feeling too upset.

-sigh- But again, that’s just my opinion.

#I just think wanting to be alone shouldn't be seen as something less preferred in a character #especially if it's truly something they love and enjoy #like I said it's totally ok in my book to ship him with someone whether it's Moomin or Alicia or whoever #I ain't gonna fight ya #it's just there doesn't need to be folks barking at each other for thinking otherwise
