Back Up Plan

Lance’s backup plan ends up really stemming from one specific thing: his escape plan. Him leaving magic, joining the marines, and everything afterwards all is a result of this one thing that he has been working towards. So I decided to think of what would happen if Lance was not able to escape his Dad. The way I imagine it is that Lance’s plan to get him and his mother out of the house fails, and as a result he gets stuck. And eventually Lance would end up snapping, probably more sooner than later, and killing his father which would only land him a prison sentence in Azkaban. From there, I feel like Lance would become even more of a loner and be racked with guilt, not from the fact he killed his father, but from the fact he wouldn’t feel bad about it.
