You have to admit that Sasha was pretty badass in this part ♥.♥
This part was really important for showcasing just how effective Sasha is at what she does.
When Shadis is explaining what some of the trainees’ strengths and weaknesses are, he says that Sasha excels at unconventional maneuvers, which makes her unsuited for coordinated movements within a group.
Here, Sasha is the first to react to a falling teammate. Most people would probably attempt to swoop down and pluck him out of the air mid-swing, but there was no way to do that in time before he’d hit the ground.
Sasha actually shoots one of her grapple hooks into the soldier’s leg, while using her other hook to hold them both up against the wall, saving his life thanks to an unorthodox idea and a quick reaction time.
While Sasha’s spontaneity is certainly ineffective for group tactics, this scene illustrates how that doesn’t make her a lesser soldier or regulate her to the “goofy team member who throws everyone off.”
