rubbing his hands over his face, Landon allowed his ten year old run a bit ahead of him. “meet me back here in ten!” he hollered after his daughter, a deep sigh leaving his lips. sitting on a bench the man watched as people passed him by. a thousand thoughts ran through his mind at once. “Either i’ve not been shopping in a while, or the world has been totally warped.” he spoke to no one in particular.
Carter was locking up shop for the evening when he heard someone enter the shop. He let out a slight sigh as he stepped out of the office and motioned in the direction of the door, cursing himself internally for not having bothered to lock it up before he began going over the books. “Can I help you with something?” He asked as he came to a halt, looking at the person with a slightly tired smile.
“You can help me by helping me look for my key’s.” Landon remarked with a laugh, looking over the brunette as he entered the shop. “I was on my way to get a drink before I realized they weren’t in my pocket.” he said, looking all around as he stepped. Looking to the other he cocked an eyebrow. “you look like you could use a break.” landon said with a pause. “you down for a drink when i find my keys?”
Verity chuckled back at him, “Fiine, I’ll say hello to you on occasion.” She shrugged a bit teasingly back at him. She went to open the dish washer once it began beeping, pulling out some of the glasses from it as she began stacking them like she had been thought, “I mean, it isn’t my first rodeo.” She shrugged, “I used to work at a different bar in town for a while, but things just didn’t work out..” She appreciated the experience though even if she had had a falling out with her boss, and friend, at the time. “How long have you been working here anyway?” She asked him out of curiosity.
‘“oh my, i’ll be graced with a hello from you every once in a while?!” he responded teasingly, perking up and looking at the other with a hand over a gaping mouth. “i’d be so thankful.” a laugh left his mouth, placing clean glasses on the wooden bar. Looking to the blonde, listening, landon crossed his arms, leaning against the bar. “I’d only hope things are going smoother here than your previous job?” he asked. “Oh. well, let’s see. I quite twice over the last three years but came crawling back within the last year.” he said with a shrug of his shoulders. “maybe three years with all of those months added up.”
Verity abruptly stopped in her own tracks when she spotted the familiar face, offering him a slightly awkward smile as it wasn’t the first time she had not payed enough attention and greeted a colleague. She rolled her eyes slightly at his words, before emitting a chuckle, “Heyy.” She responded, crossing her arms a little in front of her chest, “It’s been good, I think. Clearly I need to pay more attention to my surroundings though, as I keep greeting all of you instead of the people who will be tipping me.”
a chuckle emitted from landon’s lips, head tilting back ever so slightly. “hey, I don’t mind being greeted.” the male playfully responded, grabbing a few empty glasses and placing them in a crate labeled dirty under the bar. “nah, you’ll catch the hang of it. Plus, i think this awkwardness will help you for future jobs.”
Maggie didn’t sleep. With the sound of a large bang, the redhead started to panic, it reminding her of what happened. Giving a small sigh as she was waiting for her cold brew, Maggie rubbed her temples last night. “Why was there so many bangs last night?” She really didn’t know who to ask about it, but it was really giving her more flashbacks than she normally had and it was exhausting for her. @ashtontnhqstarter
lost in his own world for more seconds that he could recall, Landon cocked his head to the side at the question, slowly looking over to the other. “there were boom’s?” he questioned. he couldn’t recall hearing anything. then again he was out way before midnight. furrowing his brows, curious, concerned. “You okay?”
work has been insanely crazy, more than normal, the past two days. i have about an hour left before i’m home, but if y’all wanna plot i’m here and down for anything! shoot me w your wc or ideas :)
Verity was relived when she had received the phone call back from Scottie’s and been offered the part time job. Finally she would be able to make some more money and with any luck she might even be able to make a trip back to New York for the summer. She was wiping down the counter top with a cloth when someone appeared in front of her, shooting them a polite smile she titled her head a little to the side, “Hey, welcome to Scottie’s.” She said, “Can I get you anything?”
Bringing out an order of fries and wings to a couple at the bar, Landon glanced over at the new girl. A small smile formed on his lips, remembering his first day on the job here. equally thrilling and nerve racking. “hey newbie.” he greeted with a chuckle, tossing a rag over his left shoulder. “how’s the crowd treatin’ you tonight, Verity?” he asked. he looked over the semi full bar, noting several familiar faces before looking back to the blonde, eyebrow cocked.
Is that [GAVIN LEATHERWOOD]? Nah, its only [LANDON CLARKE]. [HE/HIM] IS [25] AND IS A [MECHANIC / LINE COOK] AT [SCOTTIE'S SPORTS BAR / AUTOSHOP]. [LANDON] IS KNOWN FOR BEING [BUOYANT, HARD WORKING, INTELLIGENT] BUT SOME PEOPLE SAY [HE] IS ALSO [RECKLESS, STUBBORN, DEFIANT]. [HE] HAS BEEN IN ASHTON FOR [HIS WHOLE LIFE] AND [HE] IS [SINGLE]. [HE] IS PLAYED BY [BINX]
hi y’all, i’m binx (23, cst, she/they)! i love plotting and coming up with bonds and stories for my babes && i’m currently working on his actual bio, so we have this short and to the point intro on my boy!!
Landon was born to Mr. and Mrs. Clarke, with five older siblings (three brothers, two sisters). The Clarke's are fairly well known, mostly from being one of the older families that still resides in Ashton. Filthy blood money is mostly where they are known for.
Landon often tries to set himself apart from his families name, which seemed to work out perfectly in his 25 years on earth by becoming a teen father at 15.
His parents did not like that one bit and it still leaves a bitter taste in their mouth when thinking about it. Of course, they had to keep up with the 'clean' image they have portrayed themselves to be, and say that his daughter, their granddaughter, willow, is the light of their lives.
the relationship between him and Willow's mother didn't last long after willow was born. her parents didn't like that Landon got their little girl pregnant at just 15. but, Landon proved them wrong by staying by her side still to this day, absolutely loving being a father.
now at 25 with an ten year old, Landon is working hard to make life his own. not wanting to take money from his parents, he has two jobs. one, at a local auto shop, and the other at scottie's sports bar as a line cook. it isn't idea, but he gets paid and is able to put food on the table and keep a roof over his head.
Much to his parents disappointment of how his life has turned out so far, his father isn't willing to just let Landon try to take on everything on his own. he was once a young man and knew how rough it could be. so, he's adamant on trying to get Landon to go back to college, seeing it through without dropping out within the first semester (again) so that he can get landon to work at his law firm.
to which, Landon is just as equally adamant on not wanting to work for his father. he doesn't want to be like him, at all. and he's quite happy with his life currently. but, he does occasionally think of taking his father up for going back to school. it would help him in the long run as far as careers go. even if he wants to open up his own auto shop.
