Hope Mikaelson and Landon Kirby
Legacies 1x11
endless gifs of Landon Kirby (28/?)
Watching Legacies, and this really is just everyone congratulating Landon for defeating Malivore while he has no idea how he did it
Why do more people not call out the way Lizzie treats Landon? Landon Kirby was an abused, traumatized foster kid. He was also a Person of Color (Aria Shahghasemi is Middle Eastern), and he came from a poor background. Meanwhile, Lizzie is a White girl from a privileged background. She has always had money, and privilege, and has gotten just about everything she's ever wanted. And here she is bullying and calling Landon names every opportunity she has for no reason other than she wants to be mean. Any other fandom would probably be calling Lizzie racist and classist for this. Instead, any criticism of her is chalked up to ableism, even though I only ever see people criticize Lizzie for treating other people like shit, not for having bipolar disorder. And as someone who has struggled with mental illness most of my life, I think she is terrible representation.
Landon Kirby was the complete opposite of toxic masculinity in every way, and yet he was hated by so much of the fandom. Can someone please explain that to me, because I seriously do not understand it.

LEGACIES 2x01: I'll Never Give Up Hope
Landon being a fulfillment of Hayley's promise to Hope
Maybe it's just me, but I always felt there was a red string of fate concept going on with Landon's earphones. He's listening to music with them when he meets Hope for the first time (Rafael's first transformation) and having them in his ear when he's reintroduced to Hope (memory loss/just saved him from an ogre).
If you don't believe me, find the gifs to those episodes, because while I'm definitely loving the literal fire sparks flying all over and get the use of Hope's necklace, I actually think it would have been interesting if they used the red earphones with Hope while Landon wasn't around.
Ooh I really like that idea, I remember he had them in those scenes but I’d never thought of that before. I remember he also had them at the beginning of 2x07, after he got back his memories of Hope, so your idea fits for that scene too. And I like how the red string is with earphones, something tied to music, since I feel like music was significant in Landon and Hope’s relationship, with them both singing to each other.
And the earphones being used with Hope could’ve worked too, they could’ve done something with that in 2x03 when she’s in Landon’s room looking at his stuff, or maybe her using them while he was gone in the last couple seasons. Now I’m also thinking of Landon using them in limbo to try to use music to help bring back some of his emotions (before he escapes and returns to Hope, which happens in my mind haha). But yeah, that’s a cool concept for sure that they could’ve done more with.
