What’s your name and how old are you now?
I'm Landon Wheeler and I'm currently 26.
What is your current occupation?
I'm a freelance director but I also work with a couple local television stations, filling in for camera operators and whatnot when they need me. I've done some music video work, commercials and the like... I've been thinking about finishing University, but I'm happy with my career now so I probably won't. Besides, I'm currently working on a short a friend wrote a few years ago and that's going pretty well.
Tell us about your life right now.
It's going alright, I'd say. I'm living in London with my husband of three years. We're currently going through the adoption process right now and that's stressful, but we've got each other and that's all I've really ever wanted.
Tell us what you did after you graduated from Monarch.
After graduation, and several rejection letters from film schools, my brother and I decided to take a year and go travelling. We wanted to see the world-- and we did. It was a really amazing experience but I'm glad I came home when Logan decided he wanted to go to Uni.
When we got back to London I started auditing a few classes at St. Mary's University College and got back into filming. I took an internship with a local news channel and eventually that turned into a job and also led to being reunited with Teddy, who I'd lost touch with over the years.. We weren't on the greatest of terms at that point. Luckily, in the end, everything worked out and I could stop annoying our mutual friends with questions about what he was up to.. We got back together after a little while of getting to know each other again and eventually got married.
I'm now living with an irritating little fuzz ball who hogs the bed.. and our cat, who's name is too terrible to mention. I blame Teddy for that one... We're currently in the process of adopting and I honestly couldn't be happier.
Name three big/important things that happened in your life in the last ten years.
Assisting in the making of a Little Mix music video.
Reconnecting & marrying Teddy.
Getting ready to, hopefully, welcome a beautiful baby girl into our lives.
Who, if any, do you still keep in contact with from Monarch?
Thaddeus, of course, but also Ave-ry and Ace. Then there's the occasional call or Skype chat Teddy will pull me into with Nate or Becca. There are a few others, but I don't keep in contact with them nearly as much as I should.
What is one regret you have from the last ten years and how would you change the outcome if you could?
I would have to say reacting so badly to Teddy saying we should take a break after his graduation. I still hadn't worked through some confidence issues by then and it was all just a big mess. I thought he didn't love me anymore and he thought-- well, it doesn't matter now because we're both happy. I'm not sure if I would even change what happened though. Things might not have turned out the way they did if we'd stuck together. Long distance relationships hardly ever work, no matter how much you love the other person.
What are your current life goals?
Right now? To finalize our adoption and be a good dad. I don't really have many other goals, even career-wise. Teddy and I get on just fine and I'm happy with how everything's going at the moment. So, I guess I'm really just aiming for keeping the people I love happy.
Where do you see yourself in another ten years?
Still married, of course; hopefully with a few more kids and a bigger house. We might still be on London, but who knows? I've always wanted to be an official Canadian.
