(ooc) GUYS THIS JUST HAPPENED TO MY DASH. Yesterday I was was wondering what all this talk about the Internet bill was, and I thought it was small - BUT GUYS, TUMBLR STAFF IS NOW ASKING FOR OUR SUPPORT. SO…. I’M OFFICIALLY FREAKING OUT.
((Followers, you know what to do. Go, my legion!))
BeefyKunoichi: Please take the time to call your local representative regarding this bill. Protect expression. Protect the internet.
Do not ignore this. Do not scroll past. Take action.
PLEASE JUST DO IT.
MUST REBLOG.
Signal boost.

Love this. Found this one when I just happened to be in the office the designers share with local Oakland progressive folks. They have a lot of amazing images on their site, but this is the only one with a South Asian bend. The two artists at Dignidad Rebelde do most of their art around Chicano, Mexicano, immigration and Palestinian issues. I’d love their style, and wish there was more South Asian influenced work. Designed by Jesus Barraza circa late-2000s out of Oakland.

I've definitely been converted to the moombahton movement.

The Hollywood version of my grandparents...
...and I also think my grandparent's are cool enough to have their own movie.
This was pretty cool!

She’s right. I wish this day would cease already.
today I've been hunting for good dubstep remixes of classics, i.e. Rolling Stones "Gimme Shelter", for my own personal enjoyment. I heard a good mix of "Heard It Through the Grapevine" on the radio, but I can't find anything that came close to what I heard...any recommendations?
I need to see this live someday. So so good.
I am the biggest fan of accessory percussion, because I was the accessory percussionist for my high school band.
My feelings about the Frank Ocean mixtape pretty much sums up what I think about all of OFWGKTL,--i only like it "in theory". I enjoy listening to it, if I'm not paying attention to the lyrical content, and its mostly because I love all the songs sampled.
Which brings me to my beef: MGMT's "Electric Feel", imo, is the sexiest song to come out in the past decade. And Frank Ocean attempts to outsex MGMT with his "Nature Feels", and it just comes off as tasteless and creepy (i.e.: opening line "I've been meaning to f---- you in the garden"). instead of MGMT's "Turn me on with your electric feel", he changes the words to "Tell me how my nature feels"...oh, i get it, you're talking about your dick, right?
But this mixtape was free, so I guess I shouldn't expect better metaphors.
Umm...this is kinda graphic, just warning you.
This person has to be from Roslindale.
I'm kinda geekin' out over my latest Amazon purchases. Can't remember the last time I bought a real CD for myself....and import, nonetheless. Can't wait to "play" my new Wii Game either.
