Help a turtle out!
Stockman, I Shrunk the Turtles Mikey groaned, flopping down on the table next to the laptop as best he could with the roundness of his shell.
(He was only a couple inches tall, so there was a lot of room for him to flop like that on the table. A hundred tiny Mikeys could also have flopped down and there would still be room left over.)
"I'm dying here!" he groaned, draping an arm dramatically over his eyes. "You don't understand my pain, guys. This is a video game event! I was born for this! Born for it, I say! And yet..." he wiggled his fingers. His fingers, like the rest of him, were tiny. He'd long ago adapted to the whole playing games with three fingers on each hand thing - his Donnie made them all custom grips for their controllers - but you couldn't exactly adapt to the controller being bigger than you are in all directions. "Even on this sweet laptop we borrowed, I can't jump from one key to another fast enough! Not to mention trying to control the camera and the character at the same time... I'm getting serious withdrawal here! I might not make it!"
"Interesting, you must be a medical marvel," Donny said lightly, pressing a finger to his chin and furrowing his brow in fake deep thought, "you didn't experience withdrawal symptoms in the entire four months at Stocktronics, only for them to surface now..."
"Stocktronics didn't have a video game event!" Mikey whined.
All of his brothers huffed in long-suffering amusement and turned away to continue hovering over the modified Shelldon that Donny was currently elbow-deep in, hard at work making it their new flying steed to get around the Reunion.
Whatever. It wasn't like his brothers could help him anyways, not when each one was equally as minuscule. Mikey sighed and rolled to his feet, dramatically stumbling over to the nearby window to stare morosely out at the world beyond.
...ah!
He noticed your character(s) passing by! He perked up, bringing his fingers to his mouth and whistling - his lungs were small, his whistle faint, but hopefully between that and his squeaky little voice calling for attention, and the tiny arm waving through the open window, your character(s) would notice! "Hey! Hello! Helloooooooo! Wanna play a video game? Of course you do! I'll provide the laptop and the gaming expertise, you provide the reasonably-sized hands! I'll even let you pick the game. What do you say? Turtle teamup?"
"I am curious to what caused this." ME!Donnie spoke refering to their size. "However I will refrain from such. Videogames dont exsist in my world so I am still learning them for this event so help would be apriciated."
"Recomendations would be as well" Cobalt hummed going next to his world's Donnie. "One of our cabin mates was going to help us learn however he got...distracted because hed decided to do a 'runaway guys colloseum' style thing for the event? He showed me videos but the only thing I understood is that they were raising money to help sick and injured children by doing odd things while playing the games."
SISTT!Mikey rubbed his tiny hands in anticipation, cackling a little (it only sounded a little evil, and only because he thought it was funny to cackle like the villains on TV.) "Excellent! Excellent! Let's see... I've got my steam library pulled up on the laptop in here, and I've splurged a LOT in this past summer sale because I can." He lowered his voice for a second. "Don't ask me where I got the money from." Then he brightened back up. "I got anything ranging from Stardew Valley to Doom to several Final Fantasies to Untitled Goose Game! Whatever floats your boat, I'm willing to sail on."
He tilted his head in thought. What to recommend?
"Do you guys like stories, watching movies, that kind of thing? We could try an RPG, maybe. You'd have to figure out the combat, though, but we could always fiddle with the difficulty!"
He looked back at the laptop, squinting at the list of games.
"If you like puzzles, something like a platformer might be your pace! We could try Rayman, or like..." he squinted even harder, "...I think Donny's got a language puzzle game on here. Could be fun. Even though it's educational or whatever."
He shrugged, looking back out the window.
"We could sample a couple different things! I swear there's a game for everybody out there, it's just a matter of figuring out what you like, and the best way to do that is to jump in feet first! That's my philosophy. Anyways, the door's unlocked, feel free to head on in and we can get playing!"
Mikey wiggled in excitement as he hopped back over to the laptop, landing next to the touchpad.
"Some of that flew over my head." Cobalt admitted. ME!Donnie nuzzled him a bit before humming.
"Maybe we can try one of the educational games first and work our way from there...I am also intrested in this stardew Valley mentioned..."
"It sounds quite nice though yes lest start off with the more educational ones and work our way up" Cobalt nodded.
"Educational it is!" Mikey saluted, navigating to the more... well, less exciting games, in his opinion, but he had promised he'd do whatever his helpers wanted.
(Give Mikey a good racing or first person shooter any day... though it probably wouldn't be nearly as much fun without being at the controls, actually, while with educational and puzzle kind of games, he could be one of the many heads working at solving them! So maybe it was for the best.)
It wasn't an easy job by any means; he wasn't as tall as the laptop trackpad was wide, so he risked falling over onto it whenever he tried to use it, but he could press his entire hand down on it in order to control the cursor. Or his foot. He navigated to the collection of educational and puzzle games.
"Okay, so first things first, let me show you a gamer's best friend! The W, A, S, and D keys!"
(He hopped over to them, gesturing to each one of them in turn.)
"Imagine them like a set of arrows, alright? W is up, A is left, D is right, and S is down! You can use them to control a digital character who shows up on the screen, in order to move them around! A lot of the simpler games just use those, plus sometimes the mouse and the spacebar."
He pointed to a list of simple puzzle games, farming games, etc. up on the screen. "Any of these sound good to you guys?"
