Trapped

Well, this is a fine mess. Things were just feeling back to normal and this happens. It’s not like this is the worst thing that could’ve happened but still… Here she was, trapped with no chance of getting away. She tried. Maybe it was her own fault, it’s not like this is the first time something like this happened. This is why she kept her things within arm’s reach. But here she was, without her tablet, with a snoring Lapis Lazuli laying on top of her.

Corruption

“….?” Where was she? She couldn’t see but she was aware? How did she end up here? There wasn’t anything around her, just a swirling mist. There wasn’t even anything solid to stand on, yet she assumed she was standing. This was strange. Lapis could tell something was wrong. Could she have lost her physical form? This felt similar to the last time she was poofed, but just off.

WIP: I was hoping to do a ton of writing for this Lapidot anniversary week, but I'm still not feeling super creative. Lazy photoshops I can do though! Hopefully I'll repost this later with a second image and maybe a drabble with it but I wanted to get it out now it's done. This is Peridot post-bodyswap, discovering that Lapis's body can shapeshift, which means she can switch to a much more familiar form:) But with wings!

Didn't have a lot of time for this one so I made it a quick colored sketch instead.

Movie Night

It just kind of happened during the lockdown. Lapis was more into reading and Peridot didn’t have much interest in human media outside of Camp Pining Hearts, but desperate boredom had pushed them both into looking at new things. Some talks with the other gems over the tablet had given the information for these “movie nights.” A dedicated afternoon/night of the week where they would both find a human movie and watch it for the sake of entertainment. The rules of these nights seemed rather half formed and conflicting based on who they asked. Some said you had to be absolutely silent, others said callouts and jokes were welcome… the only thing most humans could agree on was popcorn was a requirement.

Shapeshift

It was a good afternoon nap. She didn’t get as many as she used to, but Lapis did like to take it easy every now and then. Stretching her arms out, she stared up at the sky from her hammock. Before she had gone for her nap, Peridot seemed kind of excited about something when they passed by one another. It was odd, normally she typically took a moment to say hi to Lapis, but whatever it was this time took all her attention away. Ah well, Lapis was sure she’d get a full lecture when she headed back.
