Crochet Cow Print Cardigan
This is my first pattern, fyi. Pattern is free for use, but feel free to leave a tip on venmo! (username: Aidan-Wells)
SIZING: I wear a XL in most shirts, and final cardigan is loose-fitting on me. If you’re looking to size down, just remove a few rows and columns from the patterns.
This pattern uses US terminology
Yarn: Lion Brand Basic Stitch Anti Pilling Yarn (Worsted Weight; Black [4 skeins] White [4 skeins])
Hook: 4mm
Each box in grid pattern represents one double crochet
FRONT PANELS
(repeat the same process with both left and right panels)
Row 1: Using white yarn, make a slip knot, then Ch. 51
Row 2: using white yarn only, Starting at second ch. from hook, 1 sc. in each back bump (50)
Row 3 - 53: Follow Grid below. Starting at 1, read left to right. Each box represents 1 double crochet.
Row 54: using white yarn only, 1 sc. in each stitch. Cut and tie off.

SLEEVES
(repeat this pattern twice to create 2 sleeves)
Row 1: Using white yarn, make a slip knot, then Ch. 90
Row 2: Using white yarn only, Starting at second ch. from hook, 1 sc. in each back bump (89)
Row 3 - 37: Follow Grid below. Starting at 1, read left to right. Each box represents 1 double crochet.
Row 38: using white yarn only, 1 sc. in each stitch. Cut and tie off.
BACK PANEL
Row 1: Using white yarn, make a slip knot, then Ch. 121
Row 2: Using white yarn only, Starting at second ch. from hook, 1 sc. in each back bump (120)
Row 3 - 53: Follow Grid below. Starting at 1, read left to right. Each box represents 1 double crochet.
Row 54: using white yarn only, 1 sc. in each stitch. Cut and tie off.
ASSEMBLY
Fold sleeve in half with right sides together. Whip stitch along raw edge to create a tube.
Repeat with second sleeve
lay out front and back panels according to the diagram below
With right sides together, whip stitch along red dotted line
With right sides together (blue dotted line) whip stitch sides of front and back panels, leaving a gap where the sleeve will be attached
With right sides together, whip stitch along green dotted line to attach sleeves
FINISHING
Using sc rib stitch, create two cuffs of your desired width
add four darts to the wrist of each sleeve to cinch them to the size of the cuff
with right sides together, whip stitch cuffs to sleeves using black yarn
add sc rib stitch of desired width along bottom and front panels
