OKAY I HAVE A LORE IDEA FROM MY TF2 AU [MIMIC FORTRESS]
In my Tf2 Au, there are 2 characters that don't look like other ones. Scouts. Mimic Scouts. Yup, these fellas. You know, they were very...human like. And they looked more like their original versions from the TwoFort. The BLU one was just a traumatized man who wanted to find love near some strange creatures. And the RED one...well. Just a little asshole, but actually a cool guy who was very proud of the fact that he is the most "human-like" near mimics.
They were different, of course. One is cold, a little rude, quite, but have a very warm heart, even if he can't show it with words. The other jne is loud, more rude and doesn't fucking understand when he needs to shut the fuck up and just a freaking mf (but he's funny and cool).
But they both were bitten. And they both were scared. Not in the same way, but they were scared. Matthew tried to take it calmly since they had wild animals living in the forest near the BLU base, and this was not the first time Matthew had been attacked. And Jeremy was a drama queen — that was the first time when he got a bite from a wild animal and the first time, when he decided to go to the trip with Sniper.
They both got healed. But both wanted to think that they weren't infected.
And it was painful for both. The infection spread slowly and painfully. They both went through all stages of the disease, after which they became not so different from those around them. They became more animal like. More mimic like. They are animals.
Animals. That was the first thing that they thought they were. And there are reasons for that. It's like... you're losing your own usual personality. You start to bark. You start to growl. Some things that wolves do.... you also start to do. That makes you an animal.
But it was different for them to accept their new look and their new form. It was easier for BLU Scout — he got creatures around him that respected him and comforted him, a loving dad and good friends around him. They showed him that he's not just an animal. He's a person even if he is a werewolf now. He's still a person. And nothing can change it — Matthew a mimick like them, but the first thing is that he's a person.
What about RED? About Jeremy? He...he didn't have any. When he was looking at the mirror, he didn't see a person. He saw a goddamn wild animal. A BEAST. A DOG. Not a person. He saw sharp fangs, sharp claws, wold ears, and a fucking tail on his back. He saw a dog. And he tried to hide it from himself because he didn't want to see all of these. And nothing helped. Even the fact that he works in the group of mimics. Even the fact that he js Aldo one of the mimics.
Nothing helped. Nobody helped.
Oh no. There was one person. Demo. Demoman. This Scottish mimic who who had a form of gargoyle. He never saw an animal in Scout, even when that boy was in his werewolf form. Tavish always saw a person in Jeremy. And he that feeling when you don't see yourself as somebody that deserves respect. He knows that because he's also not like others. He's black. And for a lot of other people...he was before everything. Black before a mercenary, black before a soldier, black before a person. And he knows how it feels to think that you're "wrong".
And he knows what to do when you feel like that.
Yeah, it sounds strange, but... Mimics of RED Scout and RED Demoman are besties. And there are big reasons for this!!!
Okay, I don't know what the hell is this or will i use it in my Au, but I just wanted to share it with y'all
