I'm planning out some builds for worlds that have like 11-13 lots and trying to decide how many residential vs. community lots to have per world. I usually like to play with a bunch of community lots in a world with different vibes for different ages/personalities and try to get the Sims out of the house to make their stories feel more alive. But I don't know if that's how most people play! How do y'all think I should build out the worlds?
How do you prefer your worlds?
Lots of community lots! More places to visit makes the world feel more alive
Lots of residential lots! I want to build relationships and drama with neighbors
Las Abarcas Save File - Base Game Friendly, Version 3!
Hello all! The latest version of my Base Game/Limited Packs Save File is here!
Download here:
This save should work with whatever packs you have since everything was built with base game + the pack the world they came with (with the exception of two worlds, which include a second pack in some lots) and all Sims were created in CAS with base game + the pack the world they live in came with.
This save file includes:
Willow Creek - base game only (updated)
Oasis Springs -base game only (updated)
Newcrest - base game only (updated)
Magnolia Promenade - base game + Get to Work (new)
Windenburg - base game + Get Together + Seasons on some lots (new)
San Myshuno - base game + City Living (new)
Forgotten Hollow - base game + Vampires (new)
Brindleton Bay - base game + Cats and Dogs
Del Sol Valley - base game + Get Famous (updated museum only)
StrangerVille - base game + StrangerVille
Copperdale - base game + High School Years + Parenthood on some lots (updated)
Please note that if don't have all the same packs as me, you will get a warning about playing in a save that uses packs you don't have. You can go ahead and click "Play Save With Missing Content" and everything should work just fine. I have never had an issue playing other saves that use content I don't have! All the lots I built in the worlds you do have will show up fine. You might find some half-naked Sims in the tray, but you can just delete them as they belong to a different world and won't affect the stories in the worlds you do have. Or give them a makeover and use them somewhere else!
If you have multiple packs, you will find bonus things in the save like skills, degrees, clubs, events, etc throughout the save.
I hope you all enjoy! Let me know if you run into any issues and I will try to resolve them for the next version!

I rebuilt all the lots in Forgotten Hollow. I now have a high school, two dorms, a cafe, and a library. I might add some more lots, but that will become clear as the game progresses.
🎃🎃🎃 All lots are built without ignoring superpowers and in the style of the Vampires, Werewolves and World of Magic add-ons 🎃🎃🎃
I've tagged all the lots #FHHS #ForgottenHHS to make them easier to find in the library.
1. Forgotten High School
The school has two classrooms for students, a cafeteria, an art studio and music room, a fencing hall, the principal's office, a small library, a medical office, and an assembly hall. There's also a secret room on the top floor.
To move the school you need this mod Zerbu - Venue Changes - Custom High Schools Addon

The four worlds I'm adding to my save file (next version will have 11 worlds completed!) but now I'm going back to the original worlds and changing things up a bit. All the builds in Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, and Newcrest were made like 3-5 years ago and my style has definitely changed since then! Here are some changes in the Bedrock Straight neighborhood of Oasis Springs:
Grungier, more realistic look to Jalopy Joe's Gas Station and Cafe
More polished trailer with cozier interior for the Carpenter family
Added a drive-in movie theatre (inspired by the one I did for my Spooky Save!)
Happy October, y'all - the Spooky Save 2.0 is here.
1.0 featured Willow Creek, Copperdale , and StrangerVille (you can read more about those worlds and the stories they feature here).
2.0 adds Brindleton Bay, Forgotten Hollow, Del Sol Valley, and Newcrest! These are some of my favorite worlds I've ever built, so I hope you enjoy.
Download here!
Please note that I did my best, but I did not have time to playtest everything, so you may find errors! Let me know if you find any so I can release an updated version.
Here's more on the worlds:
About the newly added worlds...
Brindleton Bay as the "Cozy Coastal Witches/Wannabe Witches" trope
(Inspired by Practical Magic, The Craft, Charmed, Hocus Pocus, Sabrina the Teenage Witch) - A quintessential seaside town that is a must-see autumnal destination due to its cozy fall aesthetic. Things just feel a little extra spooky here! (Maybe that's because half the population is spellcasters...) Come for the Fall Fest, some apple picking, sightseeing at a creepy graveyard, or a treat at the local apothecary.
Forgotten Hollow as "The Proud Vampire Village"
(Inspired by What We Do in the Shadows, Twilight, Nosferatu) - Forgotten Hollow has long belonged to the vampires. There, they live their kooky, indulgent, sometimes violent lives without worrying about scaring the puny humans. However, a clueless human family just moved into town. Will the vampires reel it in and learn to be peaceful with the mortals? Or will the humans be driven out (or worse) again?
Del Sol Valley as "The Hollywood Horror"
(Inspired by Scream 3, Maxxxine, The Substance) - Beneath the veneer of glitz and glamor, something is rotten in Del Sol Valley. Ambition, creativity, and passion have tangled with greed, vanity, and ego and clouded the residents' vision so they have not been able to see that their reckoning is coming soon...
Newcrest as the "Supernatural Crashes the Suburbs" trope
(Inspired by The Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, Buffy, Fright Night, Gingersnaps) - Newcrest is an old town with a long history full of tradition and camaraderie. It's a great place to live and super safe - but sometimes, it feels a bit too safe. Nothing exciting ever happens here! It's boring! However, things have been getting more exciting with all the whispers of supernatural elements popping up around town...

Sometimes I'm putting together families for the Spooky Save and then I just fall in love with one and want to stop building the save and start playing with them.
The three sims in this screenshot are the teen vampire siblings that just moved into the unassuming, otherwise (mostly) human Newcrest. They're an impulsive bunch based on the Salvatores/Cullens/Originals that are definitely going to cause chaos in their new town.
I love how smug Eliana and Dante look as they chat (on the couch). They know they are annoying the hell out of Luca (in back) and are loving it.
Y'all I'm getting this error more and more. Anyone know the cause? I'm not playing with any mods. Even if I start a new save, it eventually pops up again. Super frustrating as a builder!!!
Simkhira’s Small Town Save File V2 (No CC) 🤎
Willow Creek, Newcrest, and Magnolia Promenade
Simkhira’s Small Town Save File Version 2 is now available (and so much has changed). Most importantly, this version does not require any mods or custom content (with the exception of included garage doors). Being able to open my save file without worrying about anything “breaking” has been so freeing. Version 2 also introduces new households, incorporates new lots / lot types, and other gameplay aspects. As many of you know, this save file is inspired by my small hometown in Southeast, USA. I wanted to create a nostalgic world that caters to my favorite gameplay style in The Sims 4: creating legacies. Over the past year, I have been able to transform Willow Creek, Newcrest, and Magnolia Promenade into something that I am really proud of. I hope you all enjoy the households, the lots, the small town lore, and most importantly - all of the love and effort that went into making my forever save file.
There's a local "newspaper" included in the zip file that contains more information about the save file's households, lore, clubs, and calendar. I highly recommend reading, however, I have also included more details (+ the download link) below:
Disclaimer: This save file requires all The Sims 4: EP's, GP's, SP's, and Kits.
All of the Sims have relationships (friends and enemies), careers, after-school activities, skills, degrees, lifestyles, public reputations, likes / dislikes, gender preferences, romance preferences, turn-ons / turn-offs, family dynamics, defined walkstyles, defined voices, social bunny (if relevant), cupid’s corner profiles (if relevant), inheritance wills (if elderly), marriage licenses, small businesses (if relevant), bucket list goals, and inventory sleeping bags (for toddlers-teens).
All of the Households have appropriate funds, household pets, scheduled maid services (if relevant), assigned beds, and auto-lights.
Most of the other worlds have vacation rental locations, wedding destinations, and university housing (to “study abroad”). All of these external locations were found on the gallery. Original creator credit can be found in each lot description.
The Simkhira Small Town Save File does not require any custom content, except for these garage doors (which are included in the download). Until we get proper residential garage doors, these will have to do. If you open the game and get a pop-up message stating that you are missing content - you are not :)
Garage Doors by @Max20
Make a backup of your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.
Download the file, unzip, and place the file in your “Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves” folder.
If you already have a file with the same name, change the slot number to a number that you don’t have. (i.e. change Slot_000000003.save to Slot_000000004.save)
Once you open your game, you will see “Simkhira’s Small Town Save V2”.
Once opened, “Save As” to create a copy of the save file for your own gameplay.
If the game says that you are missing custom content, no you aren’t. I have double-checked.
Lastly, enjoy and have fun!
