lasquadradiladri:
— The perfect moment.
When it came to hunting more dangerous game, it was all about selecting the right moment to strike. And with no beast was this more true than those involved with demons; something Giosuè had unfortunately, but also thankfully, dealt very little with. Though the two men that backed them up had a lot less experience with them. But they may not have manage to find the target without Jonah’s keen eye, and perhaps the unmistakable smell of blood that hung in the air. All that remained now was to bring him down.
“Seems like we’re both feeling a little cocky today.” Giosuè took a few careful steps forwards, shotgun held tight in their hands as they stood their ground. The other two stood back from their leader, Guido clutching a small handgun of his own as if his life depended on it, waiting for some indication to act while the other seemed to be out of the moment.
The “team” looked like a pathetic excuse for hunters, but they’d still managed to catch their target red handed despite that.
Raising their weapon, Giosuè stared down the barrel of the shotgun, steely gaze resting on the man at the end of it. Taking the hint, the other two followed in suit. A rainfall of blessed bullets (they’d even went so far as infusing iron into them) were but a pull of the trigger away.
“Hold still. These bullets ain’t cheap.”
|| @faustium ||
———❝ I don’t intend on moving. ❞ Eyes forward, the man snapped his fingers, the body behind him going up in flames as if on cue. Blood and bone disintegrating in a matter of minutes, one had to wonder how hot the fire was. A scentless, quiet, pyre. Cremated in sacred flame.
The group was young, three heads but no body. From the hesitation, two were unfamiliar with his kind. Still, they probably couldn’t tell he was human.
Tied to a demon, a mere human could garner more strength than its contractor. It was a matter of limits, demons being unable to reach full potential without sustenance, and humans being unable to tap into their fuel without a little help. A union of the two was like putting a match to gasoline. He was a human push to its limits.
Easing himself onto his knees, the man sat cross legged on the asphalt throne before them. Light of the flame obscured his facade, a mere silhouette before them. He smiled, lifting both arms.
❝ I feel bad about killing you kids, take the first shot so I can justify this to myself. ❞
--- Giosuè stood their ground, mind focused and hands steady even in the face of his little display. If they lost their cool, the team would fall apart, and they'd be a deadman walking.
The fire alone was enough to rouse a reaction from the two younger men, knuckles white and doubt festering. Their target now sat upon a throne of fire that would destroy any that touched it. And his relaxed stance portrayed a bigger picture than what he was telling. A story of confidence and a lack of concern, one who believes without a doubt they'll win. If there was a time to back down; it was now.
"This isn't a good idea." Jonah could just about get the sentence out before the first shot rang out. A single shot, but a powerful one. Giosuè started loading up again as Guido and Jonah took their cue, the smaller handguns working fast to unload as many bullets as they stored. It happened fast. Quick. Eyes trained only on their target, once shaking hands holding steady. Knowing what he'd said, this first round of gun fire wouldn't be enough. Experienced hand worked quickly to load the guns the moment they were emptied, though there was only so much ammo on hand.
That meant taking care of things immediately was imperative.
Part of her was amused by this man’s reaction to herself although situation was kind of…weird and intense. This dude obviously was not ok even if he stated he is. Even if there is probably blood on his hands… Suddenly an interesting idea crept into the girl’s head and it was just a sin not to try it. Either way, she will have the opportunity to escape the consequences due to her abilities… -Well, who am i, - she began to speak, scratching her cheek - just a wandering girl, trying to hide from this ugly weather…As well as possibly the main witness in the murder case in a dark alley. Maya smiled as sweetly and innocence as she could. It was kind of unpleasant deal but if you want something you need to be cute. -I wonder … Are they pay for testimony here?..
--- She wasn't the one who'd attacked them. But she was the problem now.
So, she'd seen it after all. Or at least from the accusing undertone she spoke with, had seen him with the body. (God damn it.....) Trying to keep his cool, Jonah wiped another few stray beads of sweat away as he thought. Obviously he needed to make sure she'd stay quiet. This had to stay a private affair. But she spoke with confidence. She stood before him completely at ease, and it made him deeply uncomfortable. Clearly, this girl believed she had the upper hand.
"You might as well tell me what you want, ma'am," Jonah spoke up, being as clear and confident as he could. If he didn't want to hurt her, he'd have to intimidate. Not his forte perhaps, but it'd have to do. And so, he took a few careful steps forward. The brilliant purple vines of his Stand curled themselves tightly around his arms as he did. If she could see him, it'd show he wasn't hesitant to use it. If she couldn't, it'd mean he had the advantage. "To make such a bold claim, you clearly have an ulterior motive in mind. One it'd be in your best interest to make clear."
“Do you understand?”

because sometimes what’s left to the imagination is much more terrifying.
“Are you feeling alright? You don’t look it.” “I just heard something… Something bad…” “Why didn’t you tell me about this?!” “What’s all this blood?!” “Will you tell me what the fuck is going on?” “Don’t give me that look! It wasn’t my fault!” “You should probably sit down for this.” “Please tell me you forgive me!” “I can’t live without you!” “Oh god, It was a mistake coming here… I’m sure of it.” “What the hell happened to you?!” “Where have you been?! I’ve been waiting for hours!” “You promised you wouldn’t do this anymore!” “I knew not to trust you!” “What’s that in your bag…? Is that–? Tell me it’s not!” “Is this what a dislocated shoulder feels like?!” “How could you do this to me?!” “Wake up! Wake up!!! You’re having a nightmare!” “I feel weird… what was in that drink…?” “I don’t want to leave you, but you’re not really giving me another option.” “Please… you’re scaring me…” “Ssh, I heard something again. How aren’t you hearing it? It was loud… and getting closer.” “Are you okay in there? You’ve been so quiet.” “I came as soon as I could! Did he/she get to you already?” “I don’t know whether I want to do this. I don’t know whether I CAN do this.” “Do you remember anything?” “You have to tell me who did this to you!” “No, no, I’m not alright. I’m definitely not alright.” “What’s your fucking problem?!” “Are you crying?” “You’re freaking me out! Please calm down!” “I’m leaving. And I’m not intending to come back.” “You… are dying?” “Did you drink the whole bottle while tripping? Seriously?” “Do you have a deathwish or something? Jesus!” “Ever been held at gunpoint? Want to know what it feels like?” “Stop screaming! Shh, calm down! You have to keep quiet!” “When’s the last time you slept?”.

— Heavy shadows blotted out the light of the evening sun, shrouding the filthy alleyway in darkness, providing cover for the scene that’d taken place.
Roses ensnared the lifeless figure who lay motionless on the ground, with petals unnaturally dark as night that blended in near seamlessly with the shadows. The source of the flowers was none other than a very anxious Jonah, who was trying to cover his tracks as quickly as his Stand would allow. This hadn’t been what he’d planned at all. How would he explain to Gio that he let the person he was “escorting” die? He wouldn’t. If no one saw, and all that remained were a few measly flowers, he could lie his way out. So he took a deep breath, leaning up against the alley wall as Guns And Roses faded back out of existence. Muttering near silently, he convinced himself everything was fine. There…..was a dead body, but it was fine. Blood on his hands? No problem there. Someone out there who could just as easily put a bullet through him as they did them? Definitely according to plan.
The unnerving feeling of someone watching you?
Jonah shot to attention as soon as he noticed. Turning on his heel, he caught the figure out the corner of his eye. A girl with stark white hair and bright blue eyes, who’s otherwise completely black outfit had helped her go unnoticed till now. (Was she a bystander, or the one who put him in this position? Both put him at risk.)
“Is something the matter, miss?”
Maya closed her eyes - she didn’t expected anyone in this dark alley and just wanted to hide from Italian heat and thought about how few money they have how soon she and Rena began to live on streets in piece. Altrough she noticed male figure doing something in the dark. “Ah, homeless probably” - indifferently thought girl, but since she was curious enough she kept her eyes on him. Interesting dude, he probably don’t looks as hobo… or maybe even homeless in this country very careful about fashion?.. But suddenly man froze in place and Maya somehow began to worried he could read her mind. Oh no, he was just curious about what is the problem(with her? just a personality). -Nothing really matters in this world… - she responded deafly, staring somewhere in the void - I’m just sun allergic girl. I’m chilling. It’s very nice here. But… Girl slowly got up and lazily stretched. -I think came right here for reason… How to say it...-she paused for a moment. -I feel they nearby… Maya gazed at the man. Not that she was interested in his fate, but you need to be sure that there will be no problems. -Are you okay or… something like that?..
--- Jonah felt a chill go down his spine.
The girl stared into nothing as she spoke, as if she could see something he couldn't. And she spoke calmly, too calmly for his comfort. It struck him as nothing but suspicious, and he could feel himself beginning to back off instinctively as she rose.
"Them?" A long silence settled between them once the odd girl had finished talking, broken only once the shaken gangster had brought himself back around, eyes darting only briefly to the rose bush by his feet. But he only let the question sink in for a minute. Feeling antsy, he clumsily stammered out an answer to her own question, wiping a few beads of sweat away and hoping she wouldn't notice.
"I'm fine, really! You just gave me a little fright, is all!" Well, it wasn't completely a lie. She had caught him off guard. And her words had too. If he was to take them at face value, then he could say she wasn't the one that had attacked them. But that wasn't what unsettled him. The implication she made of being a Stand user was. (Because Stand users are attracted to each other.)
"But who exactly are you?"

i’m currently unable to make a proper promo, so i ask—
could you please reblog/like (preferably reblog, it helps spread the word) this post if you would be interested in interacting with a canon divergent CHARIOT REQUIEM from VENTO AUREO, part 5 of JJBA? i’m willing to do crossovers if i know the franchise your muse is from.
this is a sideblog, so follows will come from here!
Make my Muse sad!
Who’s someone you miss?
Something you regret saying?
Something you regret doing?
Worst thing you’ve said to someone you love?
Worst goodbye?
What’s a moment that still stings?
Physical scar with the worst memory?
Emotional scar with the worst memory?
Are you okay?
What was the last serious thing you’ve cried about?
How often do you cry?
Would you try to get back in touch with someone you used to know?
Have your parents ever hurt you with their words?
Worst thing a friend has done to you?
Worst thing a lover has done to you?
Who hurt you?
Do you abuse yourself in any way known?
What are your darker thoughts like?
First heartbreak?
How do you eat?
How do you sleep?
Something you heard from a loved one that hurt you?
Has someone you loved ever put their hands on you?
How often are you told you’re loved?
How did you handle your first ‘i hate you’?

[ Just some fandomless verse chibi’s.]
lasquadradiladri:
— The dogs were getting impatient, and so was Guido.
He was clearly starting to feel antsy, the gang of dogs that’d shown up starting to become visibly aggressive the longer the noise held out. (Did it ever run out? Hell if he knew.) All he could think was that he had to run. Get away before this guy becomes dog food. But he held his composure, and was willing to stick through with this to the end. It wasn’t like he didn’t have Giosuè on speed dial.
“Kid? Well, if ya fine with leavin’ ‘er by gettin’ turned into dog meat, then ah know two guys who’d love to take ‘er in!”
Perhaps his attempt to show that he apparantly didn't care would sound better if Guido wasn’t nervously backing away from a pack of dogs. And one hand even hovered over his pocket, ready to fish out his phone on command. Fingers itching to call someone else to fix his mess. But an uproar struck up from the frustrated mutts thatd made him jump, and he had to get talking quicker than his brain could even put something together. After all, they’d both be fucking dead if he didn’t watch his time.
“This’ a real fucking stupid thing to just let yaself get maimed over, man!”
|| @traiitorous ||
—– “ Then turn. Off. The sound. ” His voice was raised to an annoyed snarl; seemed he was losing patience, too.
Unfortunately, one of the dogs was quicker to anger; it shot forwards, fully intending to silence what was making the noise.
What a shame Ultranumb was faster.
Fluid as water, it uncoiled from it’s user and hit the ground. Ghastly hands snatched at the dog’s forelegs, bracing against the momentum; unhinged jaws snapped shut around the mutt’s own. Wet crunches filled the air and temporarily overpowered the whistle - jagged teeth were tearing the dog’s face apart, gnawing through skin, bone, and everything in between.
Any torn-off chunk was spat towards the bewildered dogs, though some flew back towards Lau and the enemy. (Fuck, did a piece just hit his back? Nasty.) Ultranumb did not cease even after the dog was dead; it needed to cover the whistle’s noise and scare off the other ones. If any others got too close, they’d face the same fate… but Ultranumb could only take them out one by one. If they got too bold and moved together, Lau was screwed.
Lau grimaced. He wasn’t watching the carnage, but he could still hear it in uncomfortable detail. Why did his stand have to be so messy? A faint but coppery tang made him gag; it was just unfair that he had to taste blood. Still, he couldn’t let all that distract him; this asshole was his main concern.
“ I reacted bad, alright? I am sorry. ” (He wasn’t.) A frustrated sigh. “ Turn off your stand and forget this. Please. ”
--- The moment Guido saw a dog reduced to a bloody mess was the moment he knew that perhaps things had gone too far. He struggled to suppress a gag, forcing himself to turn his back on the gory scene before he emptied his stomach.
But honestly, why was this guy even worried about the dogs when whatever the hell their Stand was seemed to be fine taking them on? Though he wasn't looking, he could hear the Stand as it tore through any other dogs that began getting too close. Chunks of dog painted the street corner red. And the thought that the stranger could have just as easily tore through him chilled him to the bone. Had antagonising this guy really been a wise idea?
No sooner than the apology was out of their mouth, Kidz Bop manifested once more. Unseen by the advancing dogs, it pushed through to the stranger on its users command, hastily wiping off the sound once it was in their reach. And the whistle stopped.
Guido called the Stand back just as it had called the dogs back, those who weren't already on the attack pulling away. Taking a deep breath, he pulled out a cigarette with shaking hands, lighting it between his lips and taking a long drag. The smell of smoke would drown out the sickening smell of what remained of his attempted attack.
"Yer a fucking madman."
Though still antsy, on edge even, he made the comment with was much seriousness as he could muster. Because he meant it. But honestly forget waiting around for anything else to happen, he was already walking away by the time the words had left his mouth. Tonight had shaken him up. It was rare that something did. And it wasn't going to happen again if he could help it.
"Stay off our territory, and stay the fuck away from La Squadra di Ladri!”
|| @traiitorous ||
lasquadradiladri:
— Guido gasped desperately for air as at last he could breathe again, not even processing what was happening at first. His lungs felt like they were burning…….though perhaps it wouldn’t be so bad if he hadn’t been smoking.
Finally catching his breath, he straightened up again and wiped a few beads of sweat off his brow, only half listening to the man speaking to him. Kidz Bop caught his gaze as the twisted, writhing vines began withdrawing back to the collapsed Stand now its user had calmed, and he brought the little shit back with a reluctant sigh. He’d made a right mess of a simple job.
“Eh?” Mind pulling itself out the gutter, Guido turned back to face the asshole. And he couldn’t help but grin as he saw the dogs start to arrive. “Oh, this? It’s just a lil trick ah learned from another tourist, like yaself! A favourite of mine, actually.”
As a few more dogs slunk out of the alleys to join the first, he began to back off, and seemed ready to do a runner. Leaving the shitty little thief to deal with those lovely pups.
“Gettin’ late now, ah should really head home. So unless ya got any last words, why don’t ah leave ya to have some quality time ‘ere?”
|| @traiitorous ||
—– Using animals was a cruel, low blow… he’d applaud it if he wasn’t about to be on the receiving end. Lau was panicking now, and though he didn’t show it, Ultranumb certainly did; it was absolutely hissing at the dogs, and the fin of its tail was thrashing wildly in the air.
If the stranger was ready to leave, it meant his stand’s effects would linger and that he was confident there’d be no escaping. Fuck. Lau considered his options. He could try to fend off the dogs - but no, that’d wear him down and their yelps might draw attention. He could risk going with the magnet-like pull of that graffiti mark, but he still didn’t want to find out what would happen if he hit it.
Well, shit. That left giving up… or talking the stranger down. That really wasn’t much of a choice, was it? Part of him didn’t expect it to work, but at the very least, he could say he tried.
He sighed and called after the enemy; it was time to tell lies.
“If a tiny Chinese comes, push her away. She is my kid.”
--- The dogs were getting impatient, and so was Guido.
