hi hello 2013 is almost over and it has been quite the eventful year so now I will reflect on the many things I did:

had my first New Years Eve kiss

went to NYC for the first time

saw my first Broadway show

went on my first ~real~ date

had my heart broken

traveled to California and San Francisco for the first time ever

became an editor at my college paper

got a summer internship in California

had a drunken hookup with a stranger

saw Obama and Air Force one from a distance

survived 120-degree heat

swam in the Pacific Ocean for the first time

visited the San Diego Zoo

visited LA and realized I would never live there in a million years

went to San Francisco again and loved it just as much the second time

interviewed celebs for a short film fest

had a bit of a mental breakdown that resulted in me realizing the root of a lot of my problems and thus set me on track to fixing those problems

ended up hating my internship but survived it anyway

gave someone a second chance

fell in love

had my first relationship

had my heart broken (again)

learned how to forgive

learned more about what I want/deserve out of a relationship

realized a relationship won't get rid of my problems

started feeling comfortable with my body for the first time

gained about 5x more confidence than I had before

learned how to rock red lipstick

met and made some of the best friends in the entire world

realized I am much, much stronger than I thought I was

what a year. 2014, you have a lot to live up to.

when I was 12 I had a growth spurt and thinned out to a healthy 135 pounds at 5'4" -- the smallest I've ever been, mind you -- and not long after my dad asked me how much I weighed and when I told him he told me I "could still afford to lose more" because that's how much he weighed when he was my age and "boys usually weigh more than girls" and that is why I fucking hate my father and also why I starved myself for half of high school

So for a long time I was terrified I'd be single forever and I'd never find anyone who was attracted to me/wanted to date me/etc. and that fear's gone now that I've been in a relationship but it's been replaced with a fear that I'll never meet anyone else who I connect with on that level or who I'm crazy about or who I just really really like and want to be with and what if I'm just destined to be the crazy aunt who never marries and has 50 cats. :|
