We're allowed to discuss the backer updates, aren't we?
Ok so abt the Eridian script. I don't have it all figured out yet, but here's what I noticed while looking at the examples so far.
This isn't about the actual writings in the new backgrounds yet. Might do a post on that later, but i wanted to get this off my mind first lolol
It looks like a basic lorem ipsum, BUT. There's typos, weird capitalization choices, and general changes to the standard example.
I've written out the letters, but the punctuation will be marked by symbols ○, ●, and ☆ to represent assigned repeating characters. (The reference was too blurry for me to say with confidence, but i expect ● is ",".)
The Default example, goes:
○LoGem ipSum dolgr sIt ameT○● rltg ConJecEtFtur JdipRcing elit● Ued Do aliquip ex ea commodo donsequat☆ Duis aute irure dolor on reprehende
The following rough script uses the alternative vowels, which in themself pose an even more complex depth i haven't puzzled out yet. Like, why sometimes the alt and sometimes not? The rough script uses both, in the middle and start of words, and the default used none. I don't get it yet.
It's also possible that this'll all get more updates over time anyway lololol
Anyways, I will represent alternative vowel characters with an ^ accent. Here is the rough script, deciphered:
○Logem ipSum dolgr sît ameT○● rltg ConjecêtFtur jdipRcing elit● ûed Do aliquip ex ea comdo donsequat☆ Dui aute irure dolor on reprehende rblk
I want to note that it is possible that the Gs and Js might still be capitalized, but I'm inclined to say they look that they aren't, especially the Js. This might just be a handwriting thing though bc I'd also not bother filling in every gap writing like that every day.
Anyways that's abt all I've got so far- I would need more time to actually translate the latin because unfortunately I have forgotten most of my studies. </3 The standard lorem ipsum probably has an available translation online anyhow- plus if it /is/ just that, its got probably nothing to do with Eridian lore.. so anyways, now I'm gonna take a peek at those scrawls in the new background image we got hehehe
If anyone has ideas or explanations to why the example text is the way it is please do reply lol. Is it typos or am i missing something?? And any ideas as to how the alt vowels will work?? :3
