His ears perked up and he looked towards Teemo with a huge smile. “I am doing fine. Been training a lot recently. Gonna need to be on top of my game to fight! I have a feeling something bad is going to happen… and I need to be prepared for it!” He was all fired up to risk his life to protect others. Well it was true, Harrowing was going to happen, and nobody knew what would happen this year around.

“Something bad, huh?” Teemo sat down on a branch, dropping his rifle on the ground beside him. He heard that phrase before. Not that long ago. “Where’d you get that from?”

“Nature!” He replied with a smile beaming across his face. If anybody else proclaimed to hear nature’s voice they would be branded as insane, but Nue was hurling rocks and manipulating flowers and trees like it is a playing field for him, so nobody dared to question him. “I guess it is because of fall.” He put on a thinking face and grumbled. “People get sad during the darker days so I hope to make them happy.”

“Thanks.” He smiles back, before briefly closing his eyes, breathing in the comforting, still familiar smell of freshly baked bread. “My favourite. Got some herbs in it.” He opens his eyes. “I wonder if I could still tell which ones. Well, enjoy!”

“I still like plain old bread. Man, bread is good.” She muttered the last bit under her breath, nodding as she stared at the sky. “Bread’s just... good. Kinda like you. “Bread is really good.” One of the best things about food - about breakfast, at least, and sometimes dinner, tea, or brunch, even lunch, when he wasn’t feeling like anything fancy such as rice or noodles.

“Yeah, it has. Not that I have a better handle on time, but yeah.” He nods. “I’ve been trying to... get some stuff done. I’m still not sure everything’s gonna work out, but I want to try and clear my name.” He shudders. Saying it out loud somehow makes it feel more... real. “Talked to a few people. Got some connections of mine involved. Now it’s just... making sure that everything goes well.”

“... how about you? What have you been up to?” Found that hero yet, he doesn’t say, because it’s a moot point. The hammer is still there, as it likely always will be.

He didn’t expect Teemo to ask a ‘dare’ like that. He stared at them for a moment, unsure if they were serious or not.

“Did I hear you correctly or is my head fucked up from all the salt I ate?”

“I understand.” He leaned back in his seat and took a deep breath, closing his eyes. “I will have to read through my list of psychiatrists to find one suitable for you but that will have to be done tomorrow. It’s late right now and the University is closed.”

He got up from his chair and walked over to the coffee machine, taking out a mug for both of them. “You can stay here for the night so we can go over right in the morning.”

Teemo nodded. This conversation was tiring already. Talking to someone he didn’t even know, and possibly a human, would make it harder. How should he explain them what he had been through, anyways? On the other hand… he knew that he had to. Eventually, he had to.

“Thanks.” It sounded tired, but it was sincere. “I was prepared for a longer stay… I figured, I’d find a small inn, but… well, thanks.”

“If you had gone to an Inn I’m very sure you would have been abducted.” He replied bluntly. “My estate is the safest place for traveling yordles, I INSIST that you stay here.” He was being very serious about his statement, as if he had seen it happen with his own two eyes before.

He would stand up from his seat and gesture for Teemo to follow him. “There are many spare rooms along these halls but only a few are furnished for guests. I’ll take you to one of my favorites.”

Teemo chuckled. “Me, abducted? That’s funny, that’s…” His expression sobered up. “…yeah, that would probably have not gone that well, huh.”

He got up. “Well. It would be rude not to accept your kind offer, so... thanks.” The slightly stilted manner of speaking showed a little of the ghost of his formerly so polite demeanor, like long buried, and recently dug-up manners, that now, that he tried them on again, had problems to fit him. It was a work in progress. But certain places, and certain people called for him to return to old habits.
