The clouds are taking shape ever so slowly. I used to have a lot of patience but I'm not sure what's happening now. Does patience wear thin as you get older? I fear that.

There are names I wish I had remembered Thoughts I'd shared and gratitude expressed Moments seized and smiles enraptured Hesitations overtaken and doubts destroyed Conversations sparked and confessions unleashed

There are faces I wish I'd etched in memory Words I'd embraced and shoulders lifted Hands that I'd held and arms I'd caressed Tremors that I'd calmed Breaths that I'd disturbed

There are names I wish I had remembered Souls I'd made mine and laughs I'd stolen Sighs I'd taken and glances I'd kept All I remember is how you made me feel
