Beyoncé’s video for Forward shows us images of Black women holding up pictures that still haunt us to this day: Winnie Harlow (former “America’s next Top Model” contestant) with a picture of her great-grandfather, Lesley McSpadden, Sybrina Fulton and Gwen Carr with photographs of Mike Brown, Trayvon Martin and Eric Garner - their sons who were killed by the police.
