Excited!!
This here model is a design by student Elliot Mackie from Australia. He designed this seating concept using SolidThinking Evolve & Inspire.
Evolve and Inspire is a software “built on the foundation of being intuitive and having a small learning curve.” What does that mean? It means beginners or experienced designers can accurately visualize, validate, and optimize and idea to reach a desired end.
Evolve is the first CAD software built for designers and engineers alike. Hot stuff eh? News for the Evolve-curious and Evolve-lovers alike,SolidThinking has Evolve 2016 ready and slated for an October release this year!

Curattle is a portable kettle that heats beverages on the go designed by Booreum Kim.
“The device also measures the outside temperature and heats the beverage to maintain the user’s preference.”
Seriously? I’ll take one please. Dreaming about days where my coffee stays warm...good job!
Right up my alley! Seriously, I am working on a similar concept but much greater scale. Nonetheless I applaud her for taking into account what most have forget: not everyone falls into the “average person” category.
Marta Rudyk engineered the Transgenerational Kitchen. The separate layers of stovetop, sink, cabinets and counter tops can be adjusted up, down and side to side with a remote control, encouraging ease of interaction with the young, the old, the disabled and people of all sizes.
Mercado Roma, located in Mexico City, was designed by Rojkind Arquitectos and conceptualized by Cadena and Associates Concept Design.
“The unique market space is spread across the first floor of an industrial building, playing host to 53 vending stalls.”
Three Buns Restaurant in Jakarta is an eye-catching burger joint serving up a breath of fresh air with a meal thanks to PTT Family Group.
Charming! Mama Campo is located in Madrid, Spain. Not only is it a beautiful restaurant, it is also an organic grocery store with space for kids to play too. Dig into these whimsical photos!

Wait, what? Walk on water? This post, by the way, isn’t related to architecture, per se but it caught my attention upon reading this:
“The reason why water striders, water bugs, oarsman, diving bell spiders, and the like can walk on water or stay dry under it is that they have tiny hairs that prevent water actually coming into contact with their surface.”
Scientists mimicked naturally-occurring nanostructures from the above and created hydrophobic surfaces that “...could prove invaluable for everything from pipes to boats and submarines.”
Not everything old needs to be tossed! Check out this sweet little residence, the first of its kind I might add, by Dwell Development created with reclaimed wood.
“...located in Seattle, features a cutting-edge combination of green technology, renewable energy and reclaimed materials.”
Vijayawada Garden Tower by Penda has a really cool cubical design.. awesome job!
San Diego Chargers Stadium by Populous
“...features a magnificent 'kinetic skin' that moves when the wind blows, recreating the sound of the ocean.”
Amen.
How Crazy!! Lake Hillier, Australia. The only naturally pink lake in the world.
