Tentatively working on Orions merformer concept.

May seem a bit weird, but I keep envisioning him as a moray eel— hear me out.

Morays are nocturnal and typically shy, however, they occasionally team up with other apex predators to hunt. Felt like it fit when you go and befriend a gladiator. They are also blind as shit (okay not completely, but definitely not 20/20) and rely on their other senses. While this version of Orion isn’t blind visually, he is certainly naive. :/ plus, keep in mind he isn’t a prime, so he’s a bit smaller and I wanted that represented in his tail.

Forgive me father, for I have sinned. Anyway, here he is. Lots of mistakes, but it IS only a concept piece. I did use his actual original concept art for the show as a guide, but I did (of course) make him BIGGER.

This is for an upcoming fic I’ve been working on for like months. It’s suppose to be reminiscent of Atlantis: The Lost Empire. Organic like metal, yet still entirely machine. I imagined he’d be a lot more spiky and finny. Obviously, his tail is modeled after a great white, seeing that it was the only fish that suited this behemoth. Keep in mind he’s also a bit bigger, thanks to his tail, than his canon (nearly) 43 ft.

Also, he’s not symmetrical cause that doesn’t make sense to me when you are a fish.

I might do Orion next. Maybe. Possibly. It’s most likely.

It’s late and I’m half asleep, but I had a thought.

If Dolores has super sensitive hearing (I mean with her experiencing pain with loud noise: evident by her covering her ears during fireworks) then she probably went through some extreme agony the first two weeks after receiving her gift. Of course, I’m sure the magic prevents actual damage or else she’d have gone deaf long ago, but the point still stands.

Like, imagine how terrifying that would be to have a quiet room full of people, excited to learn what the gift is, only to be subjected to the worst possible pain when they begin to cheer. As a child, she probably hunched over and thought her head was going to explode.

Have you ever gotten into a car the day after you were blasting the radio and got scared by the abrupt noise? Imagine that, but not being able to turn down the volume. The girl was probably delirious from the voices and sticks her head in a tub of water to drown it all out, daredevil style.
