Like, I'm happy for you if you like the season and are having a blast, but I for my part I was looking forward to certain things I expected to enjoy about the show, and I am not enjoying watching this. Time to move on, there's a lot of series and movies out there. I'll watch something else 🤷
Why The Boys 4x06 was upsetting to me (spoilers)
Everyone keeps comparing this episode with Herogasm or the 'human centipede' scene, or Soldierboy with the senior ladies, but, though kinky/shocking to see, all that stuff was consensual, and thus one could go 'OMG' and have a laugh over it.
So far, SA on this show has been off camera (we saw the start and the aftermatch of The Deep assaulting Starlight, that fan assaulting The Deep, and Becca's rape was offscreen).
Rape hadn't been used (so far) as cheap shock value, and that was one of the things I liked about this show.
That there wasn't even a CW is just insult to injury 🤦
the fact that so many of you desensitized monsters care more about good omens, all the fully grown rich white men attached to it and your own entertainment than the victims is genuinely saddening. the future is so bleak and i dont give a fuck if anyone thinks i’m overreacting. hearing about two women be violently sexually assaulted & going “but what about my tv show🥺” is literally crazy

Rewatching the season now, and DM so did happen. I haven't seen that level of eyefucking since Hannibal said 'you will find me interesting' to Will Graham, and isn't that a coincidence?

I know Armand is (justly) cancelled right now and stuff, but it would really suck for him if Daniel is thriving as a vampire because Marius already got to him 🤔

We are all missing the reason why only Louis is in danger because of the book: Daniel's the vampire whisperer.
Like, other vampires approach him with the intent to kill him, and end up leaving with a signed copy of the book, weaving at him and going 'call me!' after slipping their phone number in the pocket of his leather jacket 🤷
(I know probably the real reason has more to do with not pissing off his powerful 500 years old maker, but don't tell me it wouldn't be hilarious).
If Eric Bogosian in that leather jacket didn't convince TPTB to give him all the sex scenes next season, they're blind or something 🤷

Daniel said Armand turned him "out of spite", but that might even be true (as they see it now) AND still be DM friendly.
This Daniel definitely didn't ask for it, was clearly on Louis' side the whole time, and if there was an eventual shared past revealed, I doubt it would have changed Daniel's mind regarding wanting to be with Armand NOW.
So Daniel very well might think Armand turned him out of spite, to rob him of his agency at the end of his life, and Armand might agree to a point, even if he did it out of desperation (because Daniel was dying or in an effort not to be alone).
There was a lot of spitefull pettiness in book!canon DM, why should we expect (or want) much difference?
He's still Armand's only fledging. Armand refused to turn someone for Louis before. They want us to think it's all about Louis, but it's not.
It would have made more sense if the Big Reveal was Armand preventing Lestat from saving Claudia.
Both for the divorce and for Louis forgiving Lestat 🤷
I think they rushed the 'Daniel is a vampire now and Armand turned him' because they're going to elaborate on it on 'Night Island' as a hook, just as they did the Baby Yoda reunion on the spin off instead (in The Mandalorian, in case you don't watch the show).

It totally makes sense Armand ran away after turning Daniel. At this point, Daniel didn't want it.
Even if DM happened as we hope, Even if Daniel got his memories back, it is very likely he got turned against his will and he's very pissed right now.
Daniel is probably looking for Armand with revenge on his mind, and will be until the Akesha crisis forces them to be civil to each other again.
Still, we could have a bit of hatesex and a few flashbacks in the next season, I wouldn't complain.
