I just think giving the funny creatires spikes is fun!

I imagine that from newborn to teenager Slugcats have folded ears. Monk just has a mutation thing where they will always have folded ears, cause it’s cute

Artificer’s Slugpups would have had her abilities, just weaker as they are young. Speaking of Artificer, I imagine she keeps a necklace with a Pearl around her neck as it was a gift from one of her pups, after the incident the necklace has become something she keeps close to her and has a panic attack when she’s under threat of losing it
