The White Eagle Saloon and Hotel in Oregon. While it looks like a normal, quaint place to unwind with a drink or two, it is supposedly haunted. While that may be the product of rumors and legends, the events that occurred in its past are not as open to debate. Fights and murders were commonplace, and a brothel was operated from the basement, offering all kinds of “exotic” and under-aged girls, most of which had been kidnapped and brought there. Patrons and workers were shanghaied out through the underground tunnels and sold into labor.
A rather nice local with a darker underbelly, tunnels and passageways, supposed supernatural activity and a much darker reality hidden beneath the surface. It doesn’t sound so far off from the abode of the Phantom. Though admittedly, a simple saloon is far beneath his style and standard.
