for the past month, i've started every morning by reading a few poems from devotions: the selected poems of mary oliver. these are some favorites from my pile of favorites. in the grand scheme of things, small meditations won't do much for my ongoing struggles with art, but i have received a certain indelible power from the line 'still ready, beyond all else, to dance for the world'. ◡̈
