Taylor Swift, along with her marketing team, did an amazing job in marketing in the lead up to the release of her new music video. Each day a new image was released of a celebrity who would feature in the music video, with all the details as to where and when it was premiering. Each on the images were loaded on to many forms of social media which is a perfect way to reach a large amount of people. This is a great way to keep people engaged and keep the focus on the product you’re offering,
I know the marketing of this new music video had me waiting until the release date and wanting to know what on earth was going on!

GOOD FIND!! Very interesting read
Very good example of planning Social Media marketing…
Today’s tourism industry is a far cry from what our parents grew up with. Everything is online and travellers are progressively beginning to use multiple platforms of social media to promote, search & purchase tourism needs. One of the most trusted platforms used in the decision making process is Travel Blogs.
We’ve all read one, and we’ve all thought about starting one up. The statistics above give you an example about exactly who we are trusting with our next holiday destination.
Who are some of your favourite travel blogs? Do you follow national organisations or independent bloggers?
Another repost from a fellow blogger. Interesting read as I have, more than once considered starting a travel blog.
I do love these Instagram competitions… A stated in a previous post, running competitions that allows people to win a product by simply reposting a photo with certain hashtags is a simple but effective marking source. In this instance the blogger is able to win a lipstick holder but simply reposting the image with the hashtag #lipstackpromoter.
That’s when I finally started to understand Snapchat. I can share these silly little glimpses into my life with just a few friends at a time, and not feel like I’m oversharing.
I’m 30 and I really like Snapchat

Such a great concept that marketers should be adopting! Being able to connect with your followers is so important now days, so don’t be afraid to show your silly side! You will be able to build stronger relationships with your followers if you show them that you are only human. 😊

Loved seeing this pop up on my news feed from a fellow social media marketing blogger shannanmareemarketing. She sums up exactly how I feel about Snapchat. It is a simple method that should be adopted by marketers as it is breaking the bridge between serious marketing campaigns and making it fun and less serious. This markets younger generations through entertainment as 50% of the market share for Snapchat 18-24 year olds.
At a Tasting Australia Launch the other night and love the way they used social media handles of Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. On each table they placed little business cards so everyone was aware of the handles to use during the night when uploading photos. I thought this was a very cleaver and very simple way to get people involved during the night which, from looking at twitter feeds, it seemed to have many people tweeting and retweeting images. This was a great initiative to get the word out in the public of the new campeign
Yoga Lane are quite a new yoga company. To get their name out on social media they ran a competition for someone to win a 5 lesson pass by simply liking or commenting on their posts. This is a great way to get your business involved on social media as people are sharing/liking the post it’s increasing the reach of people it would generally hit.
Love the idea of competitions! Such a good idea! So easy and effective!
