2020: I have had enough experience on this planet to know that if you want to truly change something in your life it takes more than talk. I don’t wait for the first day of the year to make changes and I will quite often start much earlier - weeks or days earlier at times but the new year still motivates me to start new practices that I know will improve my life. . . . I started eating proper meals and I am no longer skipping. This has not only helped me stay awake more but has improved my wellbeing. . . . I chose not to drink on NYE and stayed sober the whole night, danced to my partners band until 3am and had a great time. I am also pretty sure I lost weight but that’s what 3 hours of grooving sober will do. . . . I quit coffee which was very difficult at first but I feel better for it. It was a slow process of cutting back at cafes and making less at home to reduce headaches. I miss the taste (so damn gooood) so I bought decaf and have started to enjoy herbal tea again. . . . And lastly I became more conscious of the plastics and packaging of the items I buy and now bring my own bags for food, clothing and other goods. We don’t need more plastic in the ocean or being burnt up on the ground. Australia is in crisis with more hectares being burnt than anywhere else including the Amazon which shocked me. So I can play a part in keeping our planet healthy by allowing a little less pollution. . . . This photo was snapped by a local photographer on NYE. It’s a great candid shot which shows how the little changes I have made have improved my life and mind and I cannot wait to grow more in this new chapter of my life. . . . What are your goals for the new year? . . #blackandwhite #candidshot #photography #streetphotography #wherlchairgirl #nye #newyearsresolution https://www.instagram.com/p/B6yt5C7nfYf/?igshid=1nun9bom2822c
