Enticing More People To Read My Mohabbot Orchestra AU Fic By Posting A Snippet of One of My Fav Scenes From the Latest Chapter
II. Interlude: @ PittCityOrchestra
The TikTok was posted last evening before the last concert of the week. It was a showcase of the players’ routine prep and personal rehearsal time. Emma had the mic on Jesse, the principal oboist who was accumulating his own share of fans with his dreadfully sober and straightforward personality. The problem being, as always was the case with Jack Abbot in his reluctant TikTok-mediated newfound fame, the view in the background:
Jack and Samira, sitting close next to each other on the break room table with Jefferson’s symphony score opened between them. They were discussing the variations of the ‘urban decay’ theme in the second movement. At one point, Jack cracked a terrible joke about the bridges between the variations being as convoluted as Fort Pitt Bridge’s traffic, and Samira laughed like it was the funniest thing she’d ever heard in her life.
The comment section ate it up like hyenas.
“Zaddy and baddie?” Jack read through his readers, amused.
“It sounds worse coming out of your mouth.” Samira covered her burning face with both hands and wished for a swift death.
“I thought people have stopped using simp for a couple of years now.”
“God, Jack, don’t do this to me.”
“Someone said they’d practice their violin harder because they want to be the filling in that sandwich. Does that mean we’re the brea–”
“Stop! I regret everything now. I’m so sorry. Please, go back to your blissfully ignorant life. I beg you.”
