Where did you learn your abilities?

Which ones? Math I learned from school. Combat, I learned from my brothers. Uh... the rest just sort of, I dunno, you pick things up with the people I work for.

If you have an income, where does it come from?

I get a cut from each sale I make, as well as pay from the Capones for my loyalty.

Do you have a job? Do you like it? How do you feel about your co-workers?

Yes, yes, and good all around.

Below is the fourth portion of the 30 Day Character Challenge.

What are some of your hobbies? What do you do with your time?

Hobbies? Well, I don't know if the things I do can be considered hobbies. I enjoy seein' movies. Uh, and the bar scene is nice; I like bein' social. Most of the time I'm workin' on buildin' connections for work, all the while makin' a few friends.

Favorite color?

I love lookin' at orange. But not any orange, but like a light orange. Peach, but not as uh, pink.

Favorite music artists? Movies? Books or authors? Actors?

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde was a pretty swell film. As far as books, I don't read much, so there's no opinion. Don't pay enough attention to know actors names.

Political stance? Are you active in politics or do you not care?

Eh, I don't care much about it.

What are some of your pet peeves?

I can not eat with someone who munches with their mouth open. Or when people are dicks without a good reason.

What sort of gifts do you like?

Huh... never thought about it much. I'm never ungrateful for new jackets!

What is your favorite time of day? Favorite weather? Season?

I'm an after-lunch kinda guy. 'Cause by then you're well fed, awake, and there's a lotta time to do things ahead of you. I like it when the air is just cool enough for a jacket, but warm enough to take it off if I want. Spring is good for that.

Where do you like to spend your time?

I'm usually at Wilson's, but I'll stop by to hang around the ol' pawn shop to visit my pals.

Favorite food? Favorite drink? Hot drinks, soft drinks, or alcohol?

If I could eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Dimitri's spaghetti with a side of red wine. I'd gladly go broke orderin' it for the whole town so everyone can get the taste! But as far as drinks go, I'm actually more of a fan of chocolate milk than anything. Childhood favorite, I guess.

Favorite animal?

Oh, god. I dunno. Dogs?

Do you have any pets? Do you want any?

I'd like to have a pup, but I'm afraid that if somethin' happens to me, it might now be left in the best care. Plus with the amount of... pollution... in my house, I don't think it'll have a good time breathin'.

What relaxes you?

I don't think I can answer this tastefully, ha!

Do they have any bad habits?

I tend to uh, get a little ahead of myself sometimes. That's vague, but that's how I'm gonna leave it.

Choose a different time period and describe what your character would have been like in that era.

Rick belongs in the 50's. The women are well-kept, the fashion would appeal to his tastes, and the music would be his passion. He'd totally be a greaser; a rough and tumble rebel. Of course, his charms would carry on for decades, and he would die happily drowning in poodle shirts and cone breasted braziers.

How do you usually dress? 

Pretty casually, I'd say. I like browns, 'cause it makes me look much more friendly than grays if you ask me. Grays are too sharp-- too formal. Not a big fan of hats. 

Is there anything about your appearance you wish you could change?

Nah, but it ain't 'cause I'm perfect. If anythin' about me were to change, I wouldn't really be me, would I? Food for your thoughts.

How would you look as the opposite sex?

As a dame? Uh... good-lookin', I hope! Probably have a thick waist, and big Italian seni.

What do you smell like? Why (do you wear the scent or does it occur naturally)?

I've been told I smell like vanilla and cigarette smoke. The only thing I smell is the mint in my shampoo.

Do you have an accurate mental picture of your appearance?

How other people see me? I think so. Based on my track record with various... uh... individuals... I'm confident I'm on the handsome side. But I know it, and I won't let that get me too big in the head.

Brown as well, but I dunno how to describe it.

I'm white, but the Italian in me lets me tan real nice. A quarter of me is some kinda English.

Accent (if any)?

Italian-American, obviously. Micks know not to mess around when they hear it.

Height?

Five feet and eleven inches.

Weight?

A hundred and fifty-eight. Pounds.

Tattoos?

Nope, it ain't my culture.

Piercings?

Again, not for me.

Birthmarks?

Not that I can see, but I've been told there's a little blob of darker skin on my shoulder blade.

Disfigurements?

Nope, thank you Christ.

Scars?

I've been cut a few times; got a few lines on my legs from dirty fighters aimin' low.

Any nicknames? Where did they come from?

Slick Rick's a reoccurring one. A mouthful if you ask me.

Dubbed ‘Funny Guy’, Rick Laurito has found his way into the hearts of many, but it’s the Capone’s who favor him the most. Head of the loan sharks, Rick is quite good at his job and is considered one of the best problem solvers in the game. It’s one of the many reasons that after Lucian Capone’s death, he was given the title of drug lord.

He takes his reign over the the drug ring very seriously, believing that he has more of a say in the trade than Frankie herself. It’s not that he underestimates the new Mob Don’s skills, but instead, that he has much more time to invest in the dealings than most. Not blind to his own charm, Rick has never been one to mix work and pleasure. His willingness to tackle challenges is what’s kept him on top, and he’ll stop at nothing to keep his title.

» PERSONALITY

Rick is a go-getter. His charismatic nature is what makes him so likable to the public, and is also one of the many reasons most don’t realize just what he has accomplished within the mafia. Frankie considers him one of the most proactive of the mob, and doesn’t underestimate his problem-solving skills. It’s the reason he’s been moved up in the hierarchy after all. Slick Rick isn’t all sunshine and rainbows, though. He has a tendency to be a tad boastful of his earnings as times, and is also quite conniving if you end up on his bad side.
