Part of the reason I think the ambulance bay scene feels so romantic and intimate while maybe not even trying to, is bc The Pitt has unintentionally conditioned the audience into a constant chaos of noise, interrupted conversations, no music, and if there is noise; it has to be medical related. And some how; the “this is not gray’s anatomy” show is now adding warm tones to the screen, there is no interruptions this time, there’s lots pauses and a whisper like tone to the conversation, and the only noise that can be heard is the chaos of the city and fireworks, which on their own can be seen as a pretty romantic set up, you’re unintentionally putting them in a rom com scene, like they’re walking right after a night out that wasn’t that fun, but they still have each other and need to walk back home.

when the show that only is able to show you one thing, the chaos of the ED, when you get the opposite of that, maybe even in the hospital, it’s inevitable to not think that something is different about the scene and the relationship of the characters
