Okay so I've gathered a shulker box worth of sculk blocks and I'm beginning the transformation of my end portal :) I'm realizing it still might not be enough so I might have to get more but imma build until I run out

This has been taking FOREVER 😭 I have been done with the build for about 2-3 weeks but I've just had to AFK because I forgot to pre-patina the copper. See last photo 🙃 So I've just been standing in the build to wear them. It's still only two-thirds of the way done but finally two corners are done for pictures at least. And the pictures turned out so bad for some reason 😭😭 they do not capture the feel in here at all, it's kind of a bummer. But it looks good in game, just trust me bro

I used black glass as the floor to give it this magical vibe of standing over the void. I had to cover the portal with stained glass so the light doesn't reflect off of the glass floor and ruin the vibes. So to get into my end portal I have to break a piece of stained glass. Ideally not the most functional thing but it is gorgeous when the stained glass is all there

The main spawn location for my world

I wanted to create a magical place where I would spawn coming back from the end or if I ever died without a bed spawn. I have a secret storage room hidden in the pond you can see in the last photo, just in case I need some backup supplies. Took me many hours to carve out the mountain that was standing there before, customize the remaining mountain, build pillars and create the design in the middle of the spawn point

Now im workin through crate trying to get a rail system goin and workin on terraforming the village to fit better paths and stuff-

i love playing minecraft w my friends but lowkey sometimes i do miss the way i used to play minecraft when i was but a wee lad who didnt know how servers worked so id always play singleplayer and my worlds always used to feel uniquely haunted by loneliness. like youre the only sentient person in the this place, youre uniquely othered and you know it. you try your hardest to make a home, you surround yourself with pets who love you but you know deep down there are others out there somewhere, people like you and you yearn for it.

I'm about to explore the deep dark biome for the first time because I want sculk blocks for a build I'm planning around my end portal. And I'm FREAKING OUT lol I'm so scared. I'm definitely more of a builder than the explorer type, going down into the caves makes my heart rate spike. It doesn't help that the area that I'm in is right on the edge of the biome so there's still a bunch of mobs, it's not peaceful and I still have to worry about the warden spawning 😭😭😭

There is a geode and a mineshaft right next to it though which is nice
